Show Summary

Poetry, Verse & Rhyme: Oh My! is both an educational and entertaining children's program. The show includes many favorite fairy tale characters such as Christopher Robin, Jack and Jill, and the Owl and the Pussycat. Episodes use these fun characters and imagination to teach young viewers the value of poetry. The episode, A Quiet Evening with Mother Goose includes poems by such famous authors as A.A. Milne, Edward Lear, and Robert Louis Stevenson. The children enjoy these poems while exploring a world of fun in the playroom. The episode, A Zooful of Poetry, is all about animals and takes place at the San Diego Wild Animal Park. Beautiful poetry is read against a backdrop of exciting wildlife including, ducks, kangaroos, ostriches, baboons and penguins. Making learning fun is a great way to encourage kids to love poetry, and Poetry, Verse & Rhyme: Oh My! is a show that teaches children about literature while being a fun adventure for viewers.
