  • What a spoiled little boy.

This episode was ok, but Gilbert really got on my nerves in the first half of the episode. The way he talks about Pokémon, I just wanted to slap him. It was nice to see an episode based around three of my favorite pokes, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. One thing I didn't get was that old woman. She acted like she wanted to ruin Oak with that news but then she is actually helping? So confusing. I was surprised how easily Gilbert changed his ways though. Overall, not a bad episode. It isn't one to watch everyday but it is a nice little episode.moreless
  • Gilbert, the mayor's son is gonna start his journey and has to pick his starter Pokemon however trouble starts soon enough.....

Hmm this episode was a nice one I guess. In this episode, Gilbert the son of the mayor is going to start his Pokemon adventure and he's going to pick up his starter Pokemon. However, a Tauros stampede the starter pokemon to run away!! How did the stampede start??? Due to a change in the balance that is!! You will have to watch the episode if you don't know what am I saying. Anyway, you should have seen Gilbert's attitude towards Pokemon in this episode. This kind of attitude for a Pokemon trainer????????? I don't think so!!! He wants a Torchic, Treecko or Mudkip but doesn't want a Charmander, Squirtle or Bulbasaur?? Why???? He says everyone starts with them and that they are lame?????? Worse thing is that he even said he doesn't want to train and raise his Pokemon as well?????? Man, after he said all that I felt like strangling him!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is soooooooooo NOT the way of a Pokemon trainer! And what is up with the old lady of the shop in Pallet Town??? Lol, she sounds more like a radio DJ in this episode with telling the whole episode of the lost starter Pokemon????? Ha ha! Soon everyone finds the lost Starter Pokemon then in the end. Luckily, Gilbert's attitude towards Pokemon changes in end otherwise he better not be a Pokemon trainer at all!!! I would recommend this episode to everyone to watch as this episode is quite nice and how a Pokemon trainer should be and you can see Gilbert's attitude in the beginning is NOT a good example of a Pokemon trainer!!

  • It was okay

Man, what a spoiled little brat. I thought Tracey was gonna explode. He gets like that when people talk that way about Pokemon. It was so funny when Muk wouldn't leave him alone. I wanted him to do it again at the end but oh well. I'm glad Gilbert learned his lesson. Ash's Bulbasaur looked like he wanted to kill him. Special circumstances, yeah - oversleeping then running down to the lab in his pajamas to get Pikachu who was the only one left.moreless
  • The first episode I've seen of Pokémon Chronicles.

Wow, this episode just blew me away. I can't believe I didn't bother to watch this series at first. I'm a huge Pokémon fan, but I didn't think Pokémon Chronicles would be very good at all... Boy, was I wrong...

The episode I saw was rated "average", but I thought it was awesome. Maybe there's other episodes that are much better than this one... If there is, I've missed a lot...

Although, there was only a few fighting scenes in this episode, the plot kept me hooked from the start.

It's simple - Gilbert, the mayor's son, must choose a starting Pokémon. He's not a huge Pokémon lover, but he seems forced to get one.

All of the starting Pokémon escape, and Professor Oak, Gilbert, Mrs. Ketchum and Tracy must find them.

The plot sounds simple, eh? But it's so much more than that. I can't describe it. It's just too good for words.moreless
