Ash and friends find themselves inside the Ilex Forest. The encounter a young trainer named Sylvester who is having trouble with his Farfecth'd and can't get it to help him make Charcoal. Team Rocket appear and steal the pokémon, and now Ash, Misty, and Brock must help Sylvester get it back, and prove to Farfetch'd that he really cares for it.moreless

While traveling on Ilex Forest, they spot an unexperienced trainer scaring off his Farfetch'd. Ash and friends are happy to help, but is required before TR finds it and sells it's stick. That's when it's trainer fights them and Farfetch'd works as a team. So TR loses once more. During the night, the trainer thanks them for finding his Farfetch'd and leaves.
