Episode Summary

Arceus and the Jewel of Life
Ash and friends arrive in the beautiful ancient Michina Town. Although the town seems peaceful, Pikachu and Piplup are suddenly sucked into a vortex. A girl named Sheena arrives and uses her powers to summon Dialga to save them. Then, Sheena's friend Kevin tells everyone that Dialga and Palkia's battle in Alamos Town has caused the Legendary Arceus to start awakening, and she also tells everyone about how her ancestor betrayed Arceus, and she hopes to correct his mistake. When Dialga falls prey to one of Arceus's vortexes, Sheena summons Palkia to save it. This in turn alerts Giratina, and the three continue their vicious battle. Sheena uses her power to quell the fighting, and the three finally resolve their differences. However, Arceus eventually awakens and begins to destroy Michina Town. Sheena summons Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina to defend the town, and when it is revealed that the Jewel of Life she posses is fake, she and the others decide to travel back into the past in order to get the real Jewel of Life and make sure Sheena's ancestor does not betray Arceus.moreless

Who was the Episode MVP ?

  • Human beings must be brought to justice!

I cannot help but feel a little disappointed. While this movie was another decent Pokemon film, it falls short when compared to the others.

To understand some of the images and references in this movie, I suggest you watch the two previous Pokemon movies first: "The Rise of Darkrai" and "Giratina and the Sky Warrior". You will better understand where those other legendary Pokemon are coming from.

As a rule, Pokemon movies aim to touch the audience and make them sympathize with the cause presented in the film. While I could understand Arceus' anguish, that was about it on an emotional level. This movie just didn't do anything for me.

They assumed too much, not bothering to work for it. Team Rocket was just tossed around for a few brief comical moments. Our heroes did nothing overly spectacular. The new characters remained empty and uninteresting. I'm not sure if I liked Arceus' voice, either (although that isn't relevant to the story, right?).

I guess after making 11 movies prior to this one made them a bit lazy and they didn't bother making this as sharp and dazzling as some of the other movies are. A shame, because there was potential in this. It was very nice to see Dialga and Giratina again, though.moreless
  • In the past Arceus help the a small town become revived, but after he beleves Damos has betraed him, and now he is against all humans. So its up to Ash and crew to go back in time and fix all that has happened so that these events will not reacoure.moreless

Alrighty lets just start by saying Arceus is awsome. This movie is a MUST see for all pokemon fans, however if your not a pokemon fan youll obviously be lost. Vissuals get an A+ as for there amazing as always. Now I hated Damos voice, dan green was NOT the right choice for him. But the story was well written. And this movie was only a tad boring (durung Damos speech about what happend)The battles where relly epic. Besides the ending was awsome and it shows some history behind the origan of pokemon, So this was amazing. All and all its not the best Pokemon movie, but its uptheremoreless
  • It was good, but it could have been better.

I saw the movie a few weeks ago and it was great! But, i did have one problem with it. I got confused with the time travel part of the movie and i just thought it seemed confusing. But, the battle in the movie was awesome! We even saw Arceus and Heatran for the first time. The Spikey-Ear Pichu was funny too and cute. I did lol at the part when Arceus smashed the fake jewel ( For some reason, i thought it was funny). It was sad at the ending when it seemed like they were going to disappear, but i knew they wouldn't disappear. Marcus was an interesting villian, but did he die at the end? They made it seem like he died because his crown was left behind, but oh well. Still, a great movie.
