  • For some reason Pokémon turned into a soap for an episode...

So the episode inexplicably opens with the gang at some wooden cottage in the middle of nowhere. It's not explained at any point why they're there, whose cottage it is, or anything. Then Brock goes out to the shops, leaving Ash and Dawn to clean (including coating a clinically hyperactive creature that can produce electricity, and a creature that depends on fire to live, with water) and feed all the Pokémon, which doesn't seem to matter in the slightest when something interesting's going on. Everyone's all happy and hunky-dory and then - oh no! Pachirisu is drastically ill! It has to be drastic, of course, it wouldn't be interesting if it was just slightly ill. This, of course, leads to Ash and Dawn trying to pin it on each other. Having been travelling for 11 years now, Ash is of course clueless as to how to help Pachirisu, as Brock being around has meant he hasn't had to learn. Anything. At all. Meanwhile, Ash is neglecting and abusing Gliscor. He really doesn't deserve a Pokémon as awesome as Gliscor, he never uses it for anything unless he has to, and never bothers to train it. Oh, but Team Rocket did see a Zapdos...random, but awesome.
  • Pachirisu sickness! Gliscor funniness! Zapdos randomness!

It was nice to get a good filler episode for a change, from the funny Staravia and Gliscor moments, to a random appearance of Zapdos. Basically, Ash and friends stop for the night at a cabin in the middle of the woods, Brock goes off to buy medicine, Pachirisu gets sick, and there's no nearby Pokemon Center. While trying their best to cure it and get Brock back, we get some great moments such as Zapdos swooping out of nowhere in front of Team Rocket, Staravia mistakingly ending up as a gunk bomb target, more crashing Gliscor puns, and the sight of Croagunk smiling for the first time I remember. And one of my favorites was the "We forgot Gliscor!" moment at the very end. Overall, a good episode, and the first episode in a while that really gave me some good chuckles.
  • When Pokemon meets Grey's Anatomy?

    8.5
Feels like there was some drama on this episode of Pokemon! On route to Celestic Town and while Ash and friends are spending time in an effort to figure how to battle Fantina the Hawthorne Gym Leader, we find that Brock is in need of Pokemon medicine, so he leaves Ash and Dawn to care for all the Pokemon. However, one single mistake from Ash, leaves Dawn's Pachirisu with a high fever and the need to find Brock ASAP. The most highlight in the episode, is the Ash and Dawn's little blame on why Pachirisu was ill. But, there where some funny jokes in the episode as well. Like Ash mentions "There is nothing on this tree", while touching Brock's Sudowoodo. Also, Team Rocket gets to see a Zapdos and attempts to capture it with a bazooka, but Staravia gets the blow and Ash never ask for his Pokemon. On top of that, he forgot that Gliscor was out there, but did not noted that, until the very end of the show. By the way, Pikachu was never used to battle Team Rocket! First time ever?
