Ash and friends discover an island on which the Pidgey population-long protected by environmental regulation and free from predators-has grown to unusually stout proportions and virtually abandoned any desire for flight. There Ash and friends find one Pidgey, however, in which the desire to soar through the heavens burns more fiercely than even in Pidgey from beyond this island. Anxious to see this Pidgey achieve its dreams, the young trainers join with the Pidgey's trainer and follow the Pokmon in a jet-assisted hot air balloon, tracking its flight as the Pidgey climbs higher into the stratosphere.moreless

  • Flying Pidgey!

This episode generated good attention to be. It showed good determination when a Pidgey named Orville wanted to fly into space and proved that it can and will do it if it believed itself. Now there's nothing wrong going to space, except Pidgey could've perished from the freezing cold when flying past Earth. Couldn't it been something better than this dangerous stunt?

Now this episode of Pokemon I think is alot different than most episodes..mainly because the villains Team Rocket actually help out for once in this episode. This episode is when Ash, Brock, and Misty are on Pudgey Pidgey Aisle and they try to help a small pidgey reach it's everlasting dream to soar into the sky and fly up as high as the pidgey possibly can. Jessie, James, and Meowth hear about this poor pidgey's dream so they decide to help this little guy out by dragging Ash, Misty, Brock, and Torvol's owner into there hot air balloon. Meowth carries a little speaker and asks Torvol how he's doing up there. Then the pidgey finally reaches it's goal and goes all the way into space even though it's really high up and Torvol starts getting snow on his head, Torvol still doesn't give up and his dream comes true. That episode was good, cause it was something different and it was nice to see Team Rocket help out for once in an episode instead of causing trouble like they usually do.moreless
