Pokemon Season 3 Episode 28

When Chikorita loses to Metapod, Ash is considering which Pokemon to send out next and says that he will "save Chikorita for later" despite the fact that Chikorita was just knocked out of the battle.

Ash defeats Bugsy and receives the Hive Badge.

Gym Line-Ups:
Ash: Cyndaquil, Chikorita, Pikachu.
Bugsy: Spinarak, Metapod, Scyther.

At the end of the episode Ash and Misty receive Lure Balls and Brock receives a Heavy Ball. Brock will never use the Heavy Ball and it will never been seen or mentioned again.
