  • Reverse World rules!

Reverse World is by far one of the most fascinating things about the whole Pokemon world; the design, the rules, its Ying and Yang position with the real world... truly awesome.

Giratina, one of the new legendary Pokemon who appear in this film, wasn't bad either, and getting a glimpse of Dialga, one of my favorites, didn't make the experience any worse (although there was a bit of a plot hole there in the end).

Shaymin, however, was one of the most annoying characters by far in the history of Pokemon. Perhaps intentionally so, who knows... Sure, there was comedy there, especially between Shaymin and Ash, but the Pokemon's behavior and attitude just didn't work.

Other than that, another movie with a good plot, but there were holes here and there. It didn't run smoothly. The beginning seemed a bit too slow and confusing, but after that it was a rather enjoyable ride to the end.

Newton Graceland didn't get nearly enough screen time or depth, or his relationship and life in Reverse World, and same has to be said about the "villain" Zero (who is one of the best villains in Pokemon so far, I think). They could have had a much bigger impact if we truly understood them and their history/motives.

Not a bad movie, and well worth the watch. Standard Pokemon quality for sure.moreless
  • Another awesome Pokemon movie!

I watched this movie last night, and I thought it was awesome! I really loved Shaymin! Shaymin in my mind is just soooo cute :). I am really glad I own one in Pokemon DP. Shaymin has a new form called "Sky Form." I like that form, he can fly like a reindeer :D. Ok for the movie. I really liked it. The movie is about Ash, Dawn, and Brock. Oh, let's not forget Piplup or Pikachu go on a quest to the Reverse World to stop a villain named "Zero" (Code Geass anyone?) from obtaing Giratina's powers to use to rule the Reverse World. I liked most of the dialogue in this movie. The only parts I did not like was when Ash and Shaymin were fighting like children. I felt that that was really annoying. There was lots of drama in this movie, especially the ending when Shaymin was really going to miss everyone. The action in this movie was good. I liked it when Giratina and Zero were battling. Giratina has lots of unique abilities. My favortie is Shadow Force, it's an attack where Giratina vanishes for 1 turn, then reappears next turn and slams into the enemy. I liked the music in this movie, although to me it's pretty much the same as the previous Pokemon movies. I am really glad Cartoon Network showed the movie :). Overall, another awesome Pokemon movie, great visuals, awesome action, pretty much the same music, a new world and two new legends, and very good dialogue.moreless
  • Another great movie!

I loved this movie! It was so awsome! We saw so many pokemon debuts like: Shaymin, Giratina, and Regigigas! But they could have given Regigigas a bigger role because all he did we just help stop the giant block of ice from crashing into a village. But overall he was still cool. Shaymin was so cute! But kind of sad that he teased Ash but Shaymin said in the end that it liked him which was nice. I also loved Shaymin's Sky Forme and Giratina's Orgin Forme ( or however you spell it). Zero was kind of crazy but overall good movie!moreless
