Delia, Flint, Lola, Brock's siblings, and Johanna make cameos at the end of the movie.
Brendan, the male character from Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, makes another cameo appearance at the beginning of this movie and he now has a Rhyperior. Lucas, the male character from Diamond/Pearl/Platinum also appears in the beginning, battling Brendan with a Magmortar.
Although original summaries and movie posters in Japan stated/showed that Palkia was going to be in this movie, it was not.
The setting of this movie is based off of various locations in Norway, including the city of Bergen, Jostedalsbreen, one of the worlds largest glaciers, and Sognefjord, the worlds second longest fjord (and the longest one in Norway).
This movie was released on DVD on March 31, 2009.
This movie is the sequel to the previous movie, "The Rise of Darkrai". This makes this the first movie to be a sequel of a previous movie, and it also makes this the second part of the ongoing Diamond and Pearl movie trilogy.
