While resting next to Lake May, the gang spots a Volbeat and an Illumise practicing for an upcoming dance contest. However a practice session goes wrong and Illumise suddenly vanishes.
This wasn't as bad as I thought. Volbeat and Illumise are actaully cute pokemon in the show compared to their game versions. I really liked thier Signal Beam attack. My second favorite part was the battle with Team Rocket. Romeo and Juliet? cleaver names thier. My other favorite part was when Ash was dressed as Juliet and Brock was chasing him around thinking he was the real Juliet. Overall, this wasn't as bad of a filler that you would assume it to be. It has funny parts like I mentioned and has some romance and action all packaged together. Not a bad filler.moreless
There's really nothing special here, because the love thing has already been done, but we see two new Pokemon, which kind of makes it stick out. Volbeat and Illumise are both bug/flying combos, and they can use Signal Beam. Brock falls in love with Juliet, and tries to give Romeo a few pointers, very funny. Brock is a favorite, even though I'm not familiar with May, so it's weird seeing her react to something that is Misty-like.moreless
Max: All's well that ends well
This is a reference to the Shakespeare play "All's Well That Ends Well," which was later adopted as a common saying.
