Episode Summary

Pasta La Vista!
Still in Saffron City, May wants to go to a noodle shop but Max finds a dojo and Ash wants to go to it. Ash and Max head for the dojo while May and Brock go the the noodle shop. At the shop, a girl named Terri runs out pulling a guy named Kyle along with him. Terri pulls Kyle away from the shop and May gives chase, wanting Kyle's "Battle Noodles" with Brock behind. At the dojo, Ash and Max are mistaken for students by Master Hamm and are told to clean the floors. Terri, Kyle, May, and Brock burst in and Master Hamm gets in an argument with Kyle, who turns out to be his son. To settle it, they decide to have a battle, Master Hamm using Hitmonlee and Kyle using Hitmonchan. During the battle, Master Ham's bad back fires up on him and he is forced to quit. Ash offers to battle for him, but Kyle objects to that. May offers to battle for Kyle and the match is reset. Ash is given Hitmonlee to train with while May is given Hitmonchan. They practice and then battle each other with Kyle's Noodle Shop on the line!moreless

  • The last episode with the talents of Taylor, Stuart, Blaustein, Lillis, and Birnbaum in their main roles...and for some their last time on Pokemon...

This episode always, while being lighthearted, makes me breakdown in tears. Never again will we hear the best of 4Kids talent on the Pokemon show again, never again will Veronica Taylor, Eric Stuart, or Amy Birnbaum be seen or heard on Pokemon again, never again will any of the best 5 voice actors 4Kids ever employed play the characters they loved so much again. You won't ever be forgotten, at least not in my heart. The best dub 4Kids ever did, and it was an excellent one. Pokemon has never been the same since they left, and it never will be. At least not in this Pokemon fans' heart.moreless
  • Goodbye to 4KIDS and it's voice actors/actresses

By now everyone knows about this issue and while I would like to see the old voices return it can't be helped and they are gone forever. This was a good filler episode and not a very good way to end the eighth season. I particularly enjoyed the fight between hitmonchan and hitmonlee. I also enjoyed how desperate and funny May gets when she wants something even if they are noodles. I don't however like Master Ham's annoying voice. It's like if James grew old that's what he would sound like. This is a sad episode for the sole reason of the voice actors leaving, but this episode is decent and good nonetheless.moreless
  • 4Kids gives us a rather poor send off.

This is a standard filler episode, It has some funny moments such as May's drive to try the local ramen noodles. This episode also has an intense battle between Ash and May using Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan. 4Kids gives us a smack in the face send off, with silly edits such as calling the Ramen "battle noodles". And they give us one of the worst casting set ups in the series. With Eric Stuart giving us his woefully bad old man voice as Master Hamm. Amy Brinbaum gives a nasely, but fair preformance as Terri. Team Rocket has some very comedic scenes in this episode. All in all, this episode was good filler, given a standard 4Kids spin. Farewell to the sup-par dub, lets see how far the new season takes us.moreless
  • ep lives up to its name "Pasta la Vista"

Why is this episode so sad you ask? It is the last episode to be dubbed by 4kids. Pokemon will never air on kidsWB again now that the last episode of season 8 has aired. Goodbye great voice actors! Now about the episode. It wasn't a bad episode at all to finish out season 8 with. It was pretty funny with may and her craze for noodles. It is also always cool to see hitmonlee and hitmonchan. Master Hamm was mildly funny, but could be annoying sometimes. The real humor and interest came from our heroes. Ash even gets to try out his battling skills with a fighting pokemon since primeape. May does, too! This episode meets the demands of what I look for in a pokemon episode because it has enough humor, plot, and action. It left me satisfied for the final kidsWB episode.moreless
  • Ash and Max come across a Dojo, May and Brock come across a noodle shop, and Ash and May get caught in a conflict.

It's painful to watch because it's the last dubbed episode. *waaaaaahhhhhhhh!*I wish it wasn't true! I was hoping the last dubbed episode was going to be more powerful, but all series have an end. Why, why, why? *sighs*. Maybe in the future, they'll make more dubbed episodes. Maybe on another channel. There are still a couple of Pokemon movies to look forward too. I enjoyed Pokemon from the very start, and never lost intrest in it, and still never get tired of it. There is still a fire blazing in my heart that hopes that Pokemon continues in America for a long time to come.moreless
