While traveling through the woods, the group encounters an Eevee that was apparently abandoned by a tree. Noticing the collar, they take it to the address in nearby Stone Town. It turns out that the owner is a little boy named Mikey, who left Eevee in the woods because his brothers are pressuring him into evolving Eevee. Stone Town is at the foot of a mountain where evolution stones are plentiful, and Mikey's brothers are hosting a party where people are encouraged to use stones to evolve their pokmon. The brother even try to get Ash and Brock to evolve Pikachu and Vulpix. The party is also a event to decide weather Mikey will evolve Eevee into Vaporeon, Jolteon, or Flareon. however, Mikey does not want to evolve Eevee and Misty encourages him to tell his brothers. However, Team Rocket interrupts the party and steal all the food, evolution stones, and pokmon! Now it is up to Ash and the others to get all of them back.moreless
I love this episode because all evolutions of Eevee and the other stone-evolvers are here. This caught my chance to learn how an Eevee can evolve into three different Pokemon when I didn't know it had three known evolutions in the past. But with this episode, it'll make a good reference to others who needs help on acquiring three Eevee evolutions.
This episode can be pretty cool as it's the first episode that features a lot of evolved pokemon, particularly pokemon that evolve from stones. There is also moral in this story, for the pokemon world anyway. Pokemon are not just about evolving them and showing off. There are plenty of humorous moments in the episode like when team rocket is chowing down on the food as they recite their motto or psyduck's pathetic attempts to stop team rocket. Jessie even does a scary act of blowing fire out of her mouth. That's something you don't see everyday! An episode that provides knowledge of pokemon and morals earn it's keep as a great episode.moreless
Misty: It doesn't seem like you really want to have Eevee evolved, do you Mikey?
Mikey: My brothers don't care about anything but battling Pokémon.
Misty: And what about you, Mikey?
Mikey: I was trying to hide Eevee from everybody, then nobody could force me to make it evolve at the party!
Misty: But Eevee looked very very lonely out there.
Pikachu: Chu…
Mikey: I was going to go get it later!
Eevee: Oee!
Mikey: I don't care if Eevee evolves or not! I just want it to be my best friend!
Misty: That's great!
Mikey: Uh! You think that's great?
Misty: There's only one thing wrong.
Mikey: What's that?
Misty: You shouldn't have hidden Eevee! You were just running away from your problems!
Mikey: Running away?
Misty: If you don't want Eevee to evolve, tell your brothers how you feel. That's your responsibility as a trainer! But hey, I'm not your mother or anything.
Mikey: No, you're right!
Edit
Misty: It must be nice to have big brothers!
Ash: You can pass for my brother!
(Misty smacks him)Brock: Grasshopper has little sense but big mouth.
Pikachu: Pika pika.
Edit
(Psyduck tries to use a water attack but the water doesn't reach anything)Jessie: That's just pathetic.
