The Rise of Darkrai

Episode Summary

Ash and the others arrive in Alamos Town, where Dawn will take part in a contest. However the sudden appearance of the legendary pokemon Darkrai sends the town's citizens into nightmares and a force to stop Darkrai is formed. However, the town is soon warped to another dimension where a battle between the legendary pokemon Dialga and Palkia is occurring. The battle is threating the safety of the town and its citizens and it is up to Ash, Dawn, Brock, Alice, and Darkrai to stop the two from destroying the town.moreless

    I was looking forward to seeing this movie (especially because of Darkrai, Dialga and Palkia).

    Not a bad film on the scale set by Pokemon movies.

    The art was beautiful, although nothing out of the ordinary. Still, I liked it, and it stood out nicely for itself.

    Besides our heroes, the guest stars were okay, and they were given enough background, screen time and character to make themselves useful.

    The plot itself... the movie started really slow. It seemed to take forever before things actually got going, and by the time the end was near, it didn't feel like much; after all the battling between Dialga and Palkia in the past minutes, the conclusion was nothing special.

    All in all a good movie, definitely worth the watch, and the story was good if you don't count the fact that they didn't really bring anything amazing/awesome into it.

    Also, I liked Darkrai's voice more than I have liked other Pokemon voices made into actual speech. It sounded far more... realistic.moreless

    An Exciting Movie even though theres always a thing a two from each movie that i don't like. Like the way they subbed it, they say "childish" things & it makes me embarrassed to watch it every time!!! Thats why I wish they would make it more matured for people who are older & still watching it. I was different when I was 8 years old because I didn't care if it said "Where blasting off again" continuously but now to me it seems really like a kids show. But other than that, the Movie was really great & I can't wait to see the 11th Movie!!!moreless

    Loved this movie! Just great! We saw so many pokemon debuts! Darkrai ( or however you spell it) debuted! And lets not Forget Dialga and Palkia! But Dialga and Palkia need to pay more attention where they fight because they almost destroyed the whole town! But they are just pokemon and they hate each other lol. But overall great movie. Also we saw other debuts of pokemon! We saw Tangrowth, Infernape, Honchcrow ( or however you spell it), and so much more! Probably the best movie yet but i think all the movies are great. But not everyone might agree with me. But great movie.moreless

    THE. BEST. POKEMON. MOVIE. EVER!!!! I LOVE this movie. It has my two favorite pokemon in it, Darkrai and Dialga. I am SO gonna get this DVD when it comes out. Darkrai is one of the greatest pokemon, if not the greatest, in existance. Dawn is one of the greatest characters as well. This movie is very sad though. When I first saw the movie in Japaneise and Darkrai died, I actually cried because Darkrai was awesome and I was like, "NO! Darkrai can't be dead." This is truly the best movie, dubbed and original. There should be more movies like this one.moreless

  • Ash Ketchum, Brock, Pikachu and the new character Dawn were great in the movie, but during the introductions I saw some sequences of my best character Misty! I wish she was there to be with Ash again! Anyways, the entire movie was well put together.moreless

    As a loyal fan of Pokemon (I grew up in the first generation of the Pokemon show), The Rise Of Darkrai was an amazing blastttt!!!! Also it was a deja vu moment that I remember me watching actions and the musics from the first and second movie of Pokemon! I view this movie perfect because, though the voice acting will need more changes (Please bring back the original voices from 4Kids Entertainment, we, the fans, admire them very much. That's one of the things the series is missing including removing Misty from the main cast which is from the show that is), the storyline, the action, the music, good scene moments; all was one of the best Pokemon movies EVER!!! Another classic movie!moreless
