  • Pepper's go-go assignment--- shades of Kennedy?

This episode essentially begins my favorite era of the "Police Woman" series--- this, and the next three or four episodes of Seaosn 1, see the program reaching a level of (regrettably short-lived) maturity: the series takes on an ominous, forboding, forlorn flavor (enhanced by Richard Shores' re-used music score from "Smack" and "Target Black"), yet still managing to inject that early "PW" sex-thing to good effect.

Pepper goes under as a 40-something-but-hot go-go dancer to find the killer of a local politican who was murdered along with his girlfriend.

    Moody, and great stuff.moreless
