  • Politically incorrect ---but fabulous!

In 1974, this episode received a lot of flak from gay-groups: the plot has Pepper going undercover in an old-folks-home (as a nurse, not a patient) being run by three killer-lesbians.

    Seriously.

It was quite riotous for TV at the time, and it was pulled from any other network showings.

Because there were almost no represntation of gay or bi characters on TV at the time, on the rare, rare occasion there WAS, they were expected to be good mental-health poster kids, or it was perceived as homophobic.

Today, of course, gay characters are prevalent enough to permit any range of character issues being raised without problems of political correctness coming into it.

This is actually quite good, done slightly horror-movie style.

    What fun!moreless
