  • The series' pinnacle

"Nothing Left to Lose" is often cited as "Police Woman"s best episode, and one can see the argument for that.

From my favorite period of the series (late-season 1), this installment focuses on a mob informant (ie, a snitch) who facilitates a big bust for Pepper, and then finds her cover blown and the target of hit-men--- she must get out of town before they find her.

Terrific, powerful episode from the era when the show was trying hard to be legitimate (and succeeding, for a time).

Patty Duke plays the doomed informant.
