Show Summary

Popclips was a music video program which aired in 1981 on Nickelodeon channel. It was the success of Pop Clips that lead to the creation of MTV, and other music video programming. It featured music videos by the Split Enz, Pretenders, Huey Lewis and the News, The Rolling Stones and others. It was both hosted and produced by Mike Nesmith. It was preceded by the video Elephant Parts which won the first Grammy ever awarded for music video performance.
