Popeye & Knish

Show Summary

Popeye & Knish was a kids' TV show that aired on Pittsburgh TV during the 1960s. The show was hosted by Henry "Hank" Stohl, who appeared with his two puppets, Knish, who had a thick mop of unruly hair, and Rodney, who was completely bald. Stohl wrote and performed comedy sketches with these two puppets, which he used as introductions to Popeye cartoons that were aired during the show. Stohl went on to appear in movies and work as a voiceover artist.
