Now that I think of it, I actually wonder how Power Rangers came about. But getting back to the episode, it was okay. I didn't like the Alien Rangers when I was a kid. Looking back on the show, I have to admit that I disliked them very much and I remember I wanted the Power Rangers to come back fast. I liked the white Alien Ranger. She was kind of hot. She was also the only female of the Alien Rangers. Overall, this was an okay episode that I thought was leading to the jump the shark moment that was Zeo. Thank you.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • In this episode Bulk and Skull do not know Rocky, Adam, Aisha, Tommy, and Kat as they did not know each other as children. However, the last time they were all turned into kids during "Rangers Back In Time", Bulk and Skull knew them.

  • QUOTES (1)

    • Alpha: Ay-yi-yi! I must be losing my microchips! Now I remember. We were Spring-Cleaning, and we had to unplug the control panel to vaccum.
Zordon: I don't believe this. All this time our power outage has been due not to a sinister force, but to a simple household appliance?! Is that true?
Alpha: I'm afraid so, Zordon. Heh-heh!

  • NOTES (8)

    • On the 4/8/96 reairing of this episode on Fox Kids, the "Today on Power Rangers" segment was replaced by the twenty-fourth segment of the Zeo Serial Sneak Peeks. In it, Bulk & Skull return to the Juice Bar, where they attempt to convince Ernie that they just encountered aliens.

    • This is the first appearance of the planet Aquitar. Its five Power Rangers, the Aquitian or Alien Rangers, appear unmorphed, in a cameo, but will appear more fully next episode.

    • Apparently, Billy has known Bulk and Skull since the three of them were children, which makes sense since Tommy, Rocky, Adam, Aisha, and Kat hadn't yet moved to Angel Grove when the series originally began.

    • This is the only time the Rangers ever fight Tenga Warriors while unmorphed.

    • Monsters at Master Vile's conference: Crabby Cabbie, Brick Bully's second form, Miss Chief, See Monster, Lanterra, the as-yet unintroduced Arachnofiend, and four unnamed, previously unseen monsters (a clown-dog monster, a bulky blue & white stitchy monster, a furry brown tribal masked monster, and a smudgy white monster).

    • No morphed Power Rangers appear in this episode at all.

    • This episode marks the final time the Evil Space Aliens (Rita, Lord Zedd, Rito, and Goldar) ever appear giant-sized on the show.

    • Rocky bring up Dex from Edenoi, a reference to the "A Friend In Need" trilogy from earlier in the season which featured said-character who was spun off into "Saban's Masked Rider".
