  • Ronny wins!

It's Yellow's episode! Although the Moltor and Lava Lizards part was retained, it was another greatly thought of plot from the writers to vary from the Sentai storyline. A Mystic Force reference was made as to where the dragon's scale was purchased. The scale could have looked more Fireheartish, but okay, I'll cut them some slack, due to the use of Japanese footage. I hope more PR references will be made in the next episodes.

The "roll calls" weren't too great though. Each of the five rangers says the same "Kick into Overdrive" line before announcing their color. Each ranger could have said something unique.

Zord scene is a rare time to see a Megazord without a giant-sized enemy.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • When Moltor attacks Mack, the sword on his back wobbles from side to side, like it's made of rubber.

    • In the scene when the Hartford Industries employees are transporting the scale, it shows Japanese footage of their truck being at the dock. When Moltor attacks, it cuts to the men getting out of the truck and running away, clearly a green landscape behind them where the sea is supposed to be.

  • QUOTES (9)

    • Ronny: Spencer, am I fun to play with?
Spencer: Like a mouldy bag of rocks, miss. (Ronny leaves) Perhaps I should have lied.

    • Spencer: Keep up the pace. Only another mile to go.
Will: Want to get out of the cart and jog along with us?
Spencer: I do many things around the Hartford Estate. Jogging is not one of them.

    • Rose: (to Dax) If you can't pronounce it, how do you expect to drive it?
Will: He can't drive it. It's plastic and it's an inch long.

    • Mack: It was the weirdest thing. When we arrived, the Lava Lizards were beating each other until there was just one left.
Andrew: Sounds similar to some earlier tribal customs, where warriors of the same tribe would battle amongst themselves for riches or power.
Ronny: Thank goodness we evolved from there.

    • Will: Dragons don't exist...and neither do their scales.
Andrew Hartford: I beg to differ. There were reports of a magical dragon outside a city called Briarwood. I purchased a scale from a record store owner who claims its from a dragon called Fire Heart.

    • Dax: There's no sign of Moltor, Mr. Hartford.
Andrew: Dax, can you please call me Andrew. Everytime you say "Mr. Hartford," I look for my father.
Dax: Got it. You want us to think of you as someone young.
      Andrew: Ouch!

    • Ronny: Okay, I admit it. I am a little competitive.
Spencer: A marathon is a little competive. You are the entire Olympics.

    • Ronny: You know it's only a matter of time before you're going down. I've never lost.
Mack: Yeah, nor have I. Granted, I've only played Spencer, and that's not much to brag about.
Spencer: (from other room) I heard that.

    • Andrew: Spencer, I think I've found something.
Spencer: Hopefully it's the papers to release me from this indentured servitude.
Andrew: No such luck, my friend.
