When Rita and Zedd are about to make Crabby Cabbie grow, Rita says: "It's time to make our monsters grow!". The "s" that's bolded indicates that she made a mistake. There's only 1 monster she and Zedd have to make grow!
After being told about the monster, why did the rangers morph just to go to the Command Center?
In one scene, the blue material making up Alpha's left arm is loose where it connects to the shoulder.
The carjacker manages to start the car without hotwiring it, despite not having the key.
Tommy calls for Shogun Megazord power but the rangers don't form it, instead positioning the Shogunzords in a 2-on-3 formation and whirling through the monster.
Lord Zedd: I rule over a dominion of losers! None of you know how to defeat the Power Rangers! I'm disgusted with all of you! Goldar: Me too! Rita: He's talking about you Goldbar! (Rita, Squatt, and Baboo laugh)
Alpha 5: (about the dangers of the molecular descrambler) We could end up with Kimberly, or Kimber-Bulk!
Kat: I'm not evil, I'm good! Rita: Now you listen to me miss kitty cat! (Rita zaps Kat with her wand) You're evil as long as I say you are!
On the 3/21/96 reairing of this episode on Fox Kids, the "Today on Power Rangers" segment was replaced by the twelfth segment of the Zeo Serial Sneak Peeks (#13 was part of "The Potion Notion"). In it, observatory janitor Joe Saunders watches Wolfgang Blizzard reporting on the mysterious absence of the Power Rangers. He takes a look in the telescope and spots a Quadrafighter!
This is the first and only time the Shogunzords are used in an unnamed tower formation.
Kimberly doesn't appear Morphed in this episode (though she does have a cameo in Pink Ranger form in the end credits sequence).
Coach Gunthar Schmidt is mentioned (and a newspaper picture of him is shown) for the first time. He'll become more important in the three episodes which follow this one.
We see young Kat for the first time in a flashback. We'll see her again in "Rangers in Reverse"
This episode marks the debut of the Rangers' rarely-used six Shark Cycles. The Pink Shark Cycle only appears in action during the end credits sequence.
Crabbie Cabbie: (to the Shogunzords) Don't tell me, you're The Rockettes! The Rockettes are a well-known precision dance company that have been performing out of the Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan, New York City since 1925.
Rita Repulsa: "What's new Pussycat?"
This is a reference to a well known 1965 hit called "What's New Pussycat?" which was originally recorded by singer/ songwriter Tom Jones.
