Is it just me, or does she seem more immuture than the other rangers? In the Sticks & Stones episode, she stated her sister had been a ranger before her, so she is younger than the others right? Her sister looked a lot older than her in the flashback scenes, but she doesn't look much youngerr than the other rangers, but Mia mentioned at the end of the episode how she is almost as good as her sister (or something like that). Am I reading to much into this, or what?

Its possible that the others were always meant to take over as rangers. Emily's sister was probably groomed from a young age to be a ranger like the others have been while Emily had a chance to be a real kid and was never expected to have to take over as a ranger. But when her sister became sick, she had to take over and has been forced to grow up suddenly. Because of this, she is more innocent than the others who have been hardened by training. But at the same time that innocence made her a little more immune to Useless's attacks.

Her character is a poorly ported copy of the Shinkenger equivalent.

I wonder if Emily's sister might end up being the female Red Ranger...

    That would be cool.

    It won't happen. She's dead.

Emily's big sister is not dead. She just came down with a illness but she will be alright.

I don't think that she can become the female red ranger because she and her family were trained in the Yellow symbol power and not the red symbol power. I think that if there is going to be a female red ranger, then she would likely be from Jaydens family line.

Also because it doesn't happen in the Sentai.

It would not be the first time something happened that did not happen in the sentai. The titanium ranger for instance was a totally original creation as were the spirit rangers. So far in this series the mega modes have been original. Besides that, if there was a female in Jaydens family who could be the female red ranger, they should at least be giving hints to it by now.

They have been. Remember the nighlok with 'you have a secret'?

Besides, most of the scenes are direct translations of the Sentai scripts, word for word. Everything that's happened so far outside of the Bulk and Spike scenes (which had no impact on the plot) have been identical to Shinkenger. Hell, the writer of the Japanese episode is credited in the opening credits it's such a copy-paste.

This is the first time PR has copied the Sentai so closely.

Yea. Jayden is not the real "lord"..thats his secret...in the end of the season the female red ranger will come to take her place as Red Ranger...i assume it will happen exactly as Shinkenger because they have been copying the season exactly as Sentai's!

I suggest you edit and make it a clickable spoiler. Not everyone wants to know as many people don't watch Super Sentai.

Which makes it interesting in Origins part 1 when Mia drives up and Kevin mistakes her for the red Ranger. (Pink is lightish red, some would argue, but I digress.) The weird thing about Origins though is that it's not even an in-story flashback. It should have aired as the two-part season opener. The Sentai wasn't like that was it, or was there some sort of scheduling snafu?

Nick and Saban wanted to do a prequel special, it's airing the same way internationally. In the episode notes you'll see that it had an exclusive screening at Comic Con in July, one of the reasons why we had this long break.
