Episode Summary

EDIT
Angel Grove High has a big football game against Stone Canyon coming up. The stress leads one of the team members, a teen named Allen, to begin falling behind in his grades thanks to reading incomprehension. Rocky offers to help him out, and sets out to introduce Allen to his Uncle Joe Haley, famous Quarterback who also suffered from similar problems in school. But before he can do so, Rita & Zedd's aptly-timed Centiback monster appears and proceeds to turn people, including Allen, Uncle Joe, and Joe's "police escorts" Bulk & Skull, into footballs! Can Rocky led the Rangers in a successful scrimage against Centiback and the Tengas?moreless

    • QUOTES (4)

      • Zordon: Red Ranger, to assist you with this most difficult situation, it is imperative to summon Ninjor.
(Ninjor appears behind Rocky, surprising him)
        Ninjor: Did someone say "Ninjor"?!
Rocky: Ninjor! The other Rangers have been turned into footballs. We have to rescue them!
Ninjor: Football's my favorite sport! Home runs and baskets, and...
        (2 energy devices appear)
Alpha: These devices reverse the energy fields.
        Ninjor: Shouldn't we get going?
        Rocky: Back to action!

      • Centiback: And at half-time, the score is 9 to nothin'! In favor of the visiting team. (laughs) Red Ranger, it looks like your season is over!
Rocky: Zordon, this is Rocky. I'm the only Ranger left. I need to come back to the Command Center!
Centiback: Hey! You forgot to tell 'im about all the nice footballs I made! I guess I'll just hafta make another one!
(he throws his ball at Rocky, but Rocky teleports out in time)
Centiback: He can't leave in the middle of a game! It's bad sportsmanship! Well, we'll just hafta go to the locker room, and plan his demise for da 2nd half!
        (he and the Tengas disappear)

      • Ninjor: Yeah, its fifth and down for you buddy.
Rocky: No, No. Thats fourth and long.
Ninjor: Uhh, Yeah, what he said.
Centiback: Ah, stick a pig in it.

      • Centiback: It's a beautiful day for anihilation!

    • NOTES (3)

      • This is the second episode in a row where all the Rangers, apart from Rocky, are transformed into another object against their will.

      • On the 3/7/96 reairing of this episode on Fox Kids, the "Today on Power Rangers" segment was replaced by the second segment of the Zeo Serial Sneak Peeks (#1 was part of "A Friend in Need (2)" and #3 was part of "Passing the Lantern"). In it, Dr Jewel entered the observatory and was urgently greeted by Dr Kender (from "Along Came a Spider").

      • This is the only time we see Ninjor's Sword Slash attack.
