Why did the Rangers wait so long before summoning the Zords?
Upon being ejected from Megazord, the Rangers were shown having being thrown forward (presumably from Megazord's front). However after demorphing they then ran forward to the chasm where Megazord was destroyed, whereas Megazord would have still been behind them.
Upon calling the Zords, the Rangers switched location from a sandy beach to the mountains then upon being ejected from Megazord the Rangers were suddenly on a grassy field.
After the Bus was caught by Megazord and returned to the cliff, Bulk and Skull were completely unharmed. In reality, had the bus been falling and came to an almost instant stop when caught, the sudden loss of momentum would almost certainly have killed Bulk and Skull.
If Megazord is so reliant on solar power, why doesn't Rita just attack at night?
When the Rangers are in the Command Center after their Zords explode, Kimberly says, "The Megazords have been destroyed". She should have said "The Zords have been destroyed".
When the Megazord is falling into the canyon, the Zyurangers are seen at the edge looking down at it, just before it cuts to Jason and the others.
After calling for the Power Sword and knocking Scorpina and Goldar down, Jason says "We have a chance now." But then the Megazord turns around and walks away, leaving the two monsters lying on the ground. They SHOULD have taken the chance to destroy both of them, and then maybe they wouldn't have been triple teamed immediately afterward.
When Squatt, Baboo, Finster & the Putties are trying to push over the Youth Center bus, the bus had Japanese writing on it & also there was a different license plate.
(The Rangers finally find out who the Green Ranger is) Zack: Aw man! Jason: No way. Trini: Kimberly, look. Kimberly: I don't believe it ...Tommy?
(after the Zords have sunk into the pit) Kimberly: They're totalled! Zack: I can't believe it! It's like Rita destroyed a part of us! Billy: They were always there for us when we needed them. Trini: Now, they're gone. Just when we need them most.
Jason: Isn't the smallest chance of victory enough of a reason for us to keep on fighting? The world needs us, Rangers!
Bulk: Watch where you're going! Who taught you how to drive? Skull: No one! How am I doing? Bulk: You drive like a maniac! Skull: Thank you. Bulk: That was not a compliment, dimwit!
Bulk: Sit down! Skull: But the building's about to fall down. Bulk: I'm not finished with my ice cream yet! [A beam falls down on the counter where Bulk and Skull are at. Bulk quickly finishes his ice cream.] Bulk: Now I'm finished!
Bulk: I want my mommy! Skull: Yeah. I want your mommy!
Bulk: We're gonna be history! Skull: You mean, like famous? Bulk: No, I mean, like dust! Both: AAAAAAAH!!!!!!
(As Scorpina, Goldar, and Evil Green Ranger surround them in Giant Mode) Jason: AW, Man. We don't have enough power left to finish this fight...
This episode marks the first time the Rangers are seen demorphing on-screen, as well as the only time the original team are forced out of the morph.
This is the final time Rita is seen riding her flying penny farthing bicycle.
Scorpina's Giant Scorpion Monster form appears for the first time. The suit will later be recycled (what's left of it), in season 3's "A Friend In Need (2)" for part of one of the Plague Patrol's costume.
This is the final time any Ranger other than Jason is seen creating their Power Crystals.
Post-9/11 edits remove several building destruction shots by giant Goldar. Most prominently, the scene inside the Youth Center is all but cut out. Ernie shouts that the building is collapsing, Bulk refuses to let Skull leave until he's done with his ice cream, and once a piece of debris lands nearby, they both quickly depart.
This is the first time the show has a Power Ranger grow to the size of a Megazord. Others include the Mutant Rangers in "Mighty Morphin' Mutants" and the Zeo Rangers in "Good As Gold."
Scorpina makes her first US footage appearance (when standing beside Rita overlooking the beach). She won't appear in US footage again until her final appearance in next season's "Goldar's Vice-Versa."
