FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (7)

    • The first time Dax fought the monster, why didn't he morph? Far as he knew, a civilian was in immediate and mortal peril... Surely he would have stood a far better chance of beating the thing in uniform than out...

    • Instead of putting Spencer in danger, why didn't Dax just take the third scroll with him? He knew where it was, so taking a minute to grab it wouldn't have made any difference and put one less person in the line of fire. By the same token, when Miratrix saw Spencer with the scroll, why didn't she attack him? He was wide open and defenseless!

    • Why on earth is Dax trying out for a movie role when he's being paid to be a Ranger fulltime, and acting would interfere with saving the world?

    • Spencer showed no difficulty walking in heels while in disguise, so why did he suddenly have trouble while walking away?

    • The Sword of Neptune has the Blue Mystic Ranger's symbol on it.

    • Unless he's accquired Mack's super strength, it's impossible for Spencer to have thrown the scroll up to the Drivemax Megazord's hand.

    • ...Will just arguably got past some serious teamwork issues... In WHAT way is it a good idea to give him the only Hovertek Cycle?

  • QUOTES (6)

  • NOTES (9)

    • This is the first episode in which one of the villain factions (Moltor) is completely absent.

    • Kamdor is designed after MMPR season three's Shogun Megazord.

    • Ultreg's physical appearance is similar to that of the Storm Megazord from PRNS (He even says "Locked and dropped!", referencing the Power Sphere system from that season).

    • First appearance of Miratrix and Kamdor, the third set of villians for this season.

    • The Drive Controllers can be launched to the Rangers in the field via teleportation as of this episode.

    • It appears as though the Rangers are making no secret of their identities this season. Aside from a brief morph in public last episode, they openly call themselves Rangers in front of the two security guards, and of course, Mira is made aware of Dax's identity fairly quickly.

    • First appearances of the Tracker Scopes, Neptune Sword, and the Black Hovertek Cycle.

    • The Rangers are now aware of Spencer's talent for disguise and impersonation.

    • Debuted on Toon Disney on its regular day but a SPECIAL time of Monday Night at 9pm E&P. ABC Kids debut date: Saturday, March 17 at 12:30pm ET, except on the West Coast where they won't get it until Saturday, March 24 at 11am PT due to a sports pre-emption.

  • ALLUSIONS (2)

    • The method for making the key monster grow utilized holy japanese kanji on slips of paper, a popular method of demon fighting on anime such as "Sailor Moon and "Inuyasha".

    • The three scrolls coming together and revealing the location of the gem on a map is reminicent of the Skulls of Toganda from "The Phantom". In that film, when 2 of the skulls were brought together, they shot lasers onto a location on a map where the final skull could be found.
