  • This episode had its upsides and its downsides.

First off the episode started with a flashback to stuff we've never seen. It made me wonder if the episode was out of order or maybe they had so much stuff to pack into it that they couldn't fit it all into one episode, but didn't have enough for two.

There was great character development with Jack and Sky. It was great to see the two of them working together.

Was that a monster that the rangers battled or a robot? It seemed like a monster, but since when did Broodwing have monsters? I thought he only delt with robots.

And of course the best part of this episode was the Megazords. We see them all in this episode. It was great to see the Delta Command Megazord, my favorite SPD Megazord, for the first time in a long time.moreless
  • A seemingly unstoppable monster and a seemingly unstoppable meteor!

Great episode even though it was out of order. We get to see Broodwing release a seemingly unstoppable monster and for once, we have ourselves a tough battle on SPD.

Adding the meteor in to the mix made for some character development. We finally get to see some real teamwork between Sky and Jack. The point where Jack was presumed killed while destroying the meteor was an awe.

Excellent ending where they combined all their powers to destroy the monster; glad it wasn't an easy battle as it always is.

Icing on the cake is that we are going to soon see the battle between Gruumm and Broodwing in the upcoming episodes. YAY!

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (7)

    • In all the morphed cockpit shots, Red Ranger is on the right, and Blue on the left. When demorphed, they're flipped.

    • The computer screen when Jack appears saying "this is a two man mission", has words on it saying, "Exetension(sic) Connect". Then when approaching the meteor, it says "Inside of attitude(sic) control", when it should say "altitude".

    • Kraw calls his Krybots "Troobians", but considering he works for Broodwing, not Emperor Gruumm, who RUNS the Troobian Empire, the name wouldn't apply to these soldiers who are not part of that empire.

    • If Prof. Cerebros is actually Kraw, then how did he manage to run the science facility for however long without anyone knowing it? How did Broodwing know it? If anything, he seemed to act like he didn't know it, he just thought Cerebros was bad! His transferring the Dino Rangers via their Gems through time in "History" makes far less sense if Broodwing used this random alien criminal to do than an ACTUAL scientist as that episode made it clear.

    • The Rangers are given no reason to distrust Prof. Cerebros, yet Bridge reads his aura, which he rarely ever does to someone without a reason. He wasn't a criminal, wasn't suspected of anything, didn't act shady...

    • It's repeatedly said the "city" will be in danger if the meteor keeps heading their way. Except, considering the size of it, the city is the LEAST of their worries, the whole PLANET will suffer a major catastrophe if it hits anywhere.

    • Z refers to Cerebros as "Cerey-bross". Such incorrect pronounciation would be understandable if she'd only READ his name, as, say, her actress obviously did. But considering she'd heard his name spoken, and it was always "Ce-ree-bros", the mistake is... well... a mistake.

  • QUOTES (5)

    • [after the meteor is destroyed and thinks Jack is killed in the explosion]
Sky: Jack, why'd you have to be so stubborn?! We didn't always see eye to eye...but I respected you. I respected you. (moment of silence) SPD, Emergency.

    • Commander Cruger: Jack has stowed away on the Swat Megazord. That stubborn fool.
Kat: [sighs] True, but are you really that surprised?
Commander Cruger: No. Sky would have done the same.
Kat: Those two are more alike than they care to admit.

    • [to the fake Professor Cerebros which is really Craw in disguise]
Bridge: Saw what you look like, and, frankly, you're no supermodel.

    • Bridge: Should I tell my mom not to repaint the garage?

    • [to Commander Cruger and Kat]
Bridge: Excuse me? We were here to get yelled at.

  • NOTES (13)

    • Jack answers his Communicator by saying "Go for Jack", which is how Shane (In PRNS) would answer his.

    • This is the first time since "Beginnings (1)" that we see Boom wear his holographic training suit.

    • Final appearance (in proper production order) of the Deltamax Megazord formation.

    • This marks the full end of Broodwing's association with Gruumm, as the Emperor sends some Orange and Blueheads after him for his various usurping attempts of late.

    • Construction is shown finally beginning on Gruumm's secret project in his ship, which he finally names the Magnificence (a term mentioned in "Idol"), with the meteor fragments from this episode making up the latest components.

    • This is the first time we've ever seen Rangers de-morph while inside their Zords.

    • The Delta Squad Megazord can now be formed w/out all five Rangers.

    • The Rangers can morph directly to SWAT mode.

    • SWAT Megazord's cannon mode can fly in space w/out SWAT 2.

    • This is the first (and only) time all 4 Megazords (Delta Squad, Delta Command, Omega and SWAT) appear on screen at once. The SWAT Megazord is shown to be about the same size as Detla Squad and Omega, and is dwarfed by Delta Command.

    • This episode debuted out of order, so several plotlines from the episode "History" (such as Broodwing's teaming up with Prof. Cerebros, the first use of a Dragoul) were followed up upon, a recap of that episode included, before the show they started in aired anywhere!

    • This makes the third Ranger team to take on a giant space rock threatening the planet, after PRiS' "Dark Specter's Revenge (1)" (and 2) and PRLR's "The Omega Project".

    • Debuted on Toon Disney, at a SPECIAL day and time of Friday at 7pm E&P. ABC Family debut date: Saturday, September 24, 2005 at 11am E&P.
