  • Clip Show

    8.5
This episode is the SPD clip show which every season has. But the episode does have it's fine points. Such as Mora seeing the Magnifcence's true form. These clips did have a deeper meaning too it and I liked it. Most of the clips were the rangers putting themselves down for what Cruger said and then the other rangers cherring them up. And as the episode ends Mora is possesed by the Magnifcence.moreless
  • Very disappointing

    4.5
I am a big fan of this Power Rangers season, but this episode is one of the most disappointing. The rangers doubt their abilities after hearing Doggie say "I wonder if we would have defeated Grumm by now" if the A Squad had been there. Then all the rangers but Sam/Omega Ranger reflect on why they were rangers and how far they have gotton.

The only good part of this episode is that we finally get to see what the Magnifcence is. I was disappointed that it was just a brain with a eye sticking out. Mora gives the Magnifcence her alligence, so I'm intrested on how the this will work out with her loyalty to Emperor Grumm. All and all, it was disappointing.moreless
  • The writers try to convince us they had a plan all along... and forget that Omega Ranger exists.

    5.0
Flashback episodes, by their very nature, are very often filler episodes. This one scrambles to prevent that from happening by revealing that the Magnificence is the Brain-Sucker from "Billy and Mandy". Somehow, I'm underwhelmed. Nothing less than Cruger's wife or a resurrected villain from the past would have impressed me.

Meanwhile, the Rangers hear one comment, get depressed, and begin reminicing about their battles. Naturally, they forget that Sam's on their team, neither including him nor thinking about what he's brought to the table, thus revealing how utterly useless he's been outside of "Messenger".

A waste of an episode, outside scrambling to tie up loose ends. Pathetic. I expected better from SPD.moreless
  • Fairly irrevelant episode

    5.1
I knew as soon as I saw the first flashback that this was going to be a filler episode with no real substance whatsoever.

So the Rangers are upset because they overhear Doggie saying that if the A-Squad were still around, they would have defeated Gruumm by now. We get to see a pile of flashbacks. Fairly boring.

The only thing that kept me from watching was the Magnifiance and we get to see the current form near the end of the episode.

The final episodes should however proof to be good, with the return of A-Squad and the final battle between Gruumm and Earth.

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • The Rangers "come to the conclusion" the Gruumm is building something with all he's stolen. But Doggie and Kat already came to this conclusion way back in "Zapped". Why wasn't this shared with the Rangers before?

    • Gruumm never stole the gold in "Perspective", the Rangers beat the monster that he sent, and retrieved the gold. Bridge even says "tried to steal", yet they immediately begin to act like he DID steal the gold is using it for whatever reason.

    • Omega Ranger does not appear in this episode. He is oddly not seen nor mentioned in the flashbacks, save for his younger incarnation of Sam.

  • QUOTES (7)

    • Commander Cruger: And Rangers, make no mistake. The fate of the world rests in your hands.

    • Jack: Sir, we heard what you said to Kat. You think if the A-Squad was here, we'd have already defeated Gruumm.
Commander Cruger: Apparently, you didn't eavesdrop on my conversation long enough, or you would have heard Kat and I agree that if A-Squad was that good, they would not have fallen into Gruumm's hands, as you haven't.

    • Kat: Still no word on A-Squad, and...and the Rangers have asked to wear clown suits while on patrol. I've approved them.
      Commander Cruger: Fine.
Kat: You're not listening to me at all, are you?

    • Sky: What are you doing eating a cupcake in the middle of the night?
Bridge: I always eat when I'm responsible for the end of the world.

    • Gruumm: [to Mora] The Magnificence will not be denied!

    • Bridge: I got it. Gruumm's master plan is to open up a mega jewelry store. It's perfect.
      [Jack sighs]
Bridge: Okay, maybe it's not that perfect.

    • Mora: Yes, Magnificence. I pledge my allegiance. It will be done. And you will rule the galaxy!
