Episode Summary

EDIT
Adam pulls a long night at Angel Grove High studying, and when the movie "The Bride Of Hackensack" comes on TV, he falls asleep. He dreams of his teammates and friends in various classic monster movie roles (Tommy as a vampire, Rocky as a werewolf, Lt. Stone as a German mayor, Bulk as a mummy and Skull as the archeologist cursed by him, Kat as a witch, Billy as a mad scientist, Alpha as his assistant, Tanya as his creation, and Zordon as an evil wizard).moreless

  • Moments like this are exactly why I watch Power Rangers.

    9.3
As the episode started, with Tanya and Adam studying, there wasn\'t much going on. Tanya and Adam are cute together, the Bulk-and-Skull moment was a classic reminder of why we like them, but it didn\'t get interesting until Adam fell asleep and began dreaming. Rita and Zedd\'s speech was a little drawn out for my taste... but as soon as Adam saw Tommy in that vampire bar I was hooked! You just can\'t pay for moments as classic as Tommy pulling Adam\'s hand towards himself as if about to kiss Adam\'s hand and Adam jerking away. I also loved the whole \"Look, it\'s Mondo!\" \"Nice try.\" \"Look, it\'s garlic!\" \"Garlic? Where?\" Rocky\'s werewolf thing wasn\'t all that great-- the best part was Adam\'s confusion about why Rocky was calling himself \"Henry\"-- and the Burgermeister part was just... strange. The mummy scene with Bulk and Skull was all right... but Billy was absolutely awesome as a mad scientist. It was actually creepy-- not in an intentional way, but in a \"I can actually see Billy doing experiments on Tanya just so he can marry her\" way. And Kat, dear Kat, the evil witch transformed from a black cat... it was a nice throwback to her entrance during third season, and as a Tommy/Kim shipper the imagery just gave me a sick sense of pleasure. The ending was so-so, although I did love Bulk and Skull jumping over Adam\'s head like that.

It had its down moments, but the majority of this episode was simply glorious. I don\'t think I\'ll ever stop snickering over Adam\'s put-out comment of \"Who turned off the color?\" as if a Power Ranger can think of nothing worse than a black-and-white world.moreless
  • Great, original episode!

This is a great original episode of Power Rangers Zeo. I actually got the special VHS release of this episode, but sold it at a garage sale a while back. But I always loved this episode because it isn't like any other episode that they usually do. Also Adam was the main character in this episode and they usually focus on the team as a whole. And the fight with Tommy and the DrillMaster was awesome. When he takes out his Zeo sword and then goes at him from the top and this sticks his sword in, it was so cool. But the end, IMO, was a little corny.moreless
