  • Kat and Aisha sing an absolutely corny song.

    5.5
Alright, so does anyone have any idea what's going on in this episode? I don't think so. All these zords come out of nowhere, including the Ninjazords that have been gone for a while along with Ninjor. And according to this site, they never use the metallic armor again, nor the ninjazords or ninjor. It just seems like a big mess. There are so few human segments too. There's usually a lot more talking and story development but this just kinda jumps right into it while in between showing Kat and Aisha singing. It just kinda made me cringe when I was watching. I was glad nobody was in the room to make me more embarrassed. I say this is the jumping the shark episode because it's clear the producers had no idea what they were doing and threw in all this stuff that they never used again.moreless
  • The last great adventure of the "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers."

    10
When Master Vile made his debut in "Master Vile and the Metallic Armor," I knew that he was going to be different from the other villains that I had seen so far on the "Power Rangers." For one thing, he didn't mess around like all of his predecessors had, he was all business and no toying around. Yet in spite of the commanding presence that Master Vile posessed, he only appeared in 8 episodes of the "Power Rangers." It's like Saban came up with the greatest villain that they would ever come up with, and they totally blew their chance to do something really amazing with the "Power Rangers" as a franchise by simply having Master Vile quit when the Alien Rangers temporarily took over the real rangers jobs. Other than that, this (along with the "Master Vile and the Metallic Armor" 3-parter) is the best piece of work to come out of the entire 3 season run of the "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers!" :Dmoreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (6)

    • The Ninjazords arrived without being summoned.

    • Dischordia has a perfect chance to grab Tommy's Power Coin, yet for some reason she slapped the hand holding it away.

    • At one point on Master Vile's Space Skull, Dischordia appears in an entirely different form. Also, there is an odd statue of an asian man present there and nowhere else.

    • When the Shogun MegaFalconzord combines with Titanus to form the Shogun Ultrazord, the White Shogunzord (the left arm) is pink, due to the use of the zord toys for that sequence.

    • How could Titanus wear Dragonzords chest plate while part of the Shogun Ultrazord if the Dragonzord had been inoperable, without power and under the sea since the evil Tommy clone returned it there in "Return of the Green Ranger Part 2".

    • In the scene were Bulk and Skull are singing in the outdoor café, if you look at the speaker you will see an outline of were the speaker blows up.

  • QUOTES (5)

  • NOTES (6)

    • On the 4/4/96 reairing of this episode on Fox Kids, the "Today on Power Rangers" segment was replaced by the twenty-second segment of the Zeo Serial Sneak Peeks. In it, Bulk & Skull spot Cogs as the source of the nearby noise. They begin to back away to go tell Lt. Stone, when they bump into someone!

    • This is the only episode in which Zedd uses his staff (without Rita's wand) to make a monster grow.

    • This episode marks the final appearance of the Metallic Armor for the White, Red, and Pink Rangers.

    • This episode features the final appearances of the Red Ape, Blue Wolf, Black Frog, Yellow Bear, and Pink Crane Ninjazords, and thus, the final appearance of any form of the Ninja Megazord. Also the final appearance of Titanus, the Carrierzord. None are destroyed, nor is it ever fully explained what happens to them. This is also the final appearance of Master Vile's Space Skull.

    • This episode features the first and only appearance of the Shogun Ultrazord formation, which, like the Ninja Ultrazord, is made using American Footage of the toys!

    • This episode features the last appearance of Ninjor, who'll be mentioned a few times up until "A Zeo Beginning (2)", but is never given a proper departure.
