Episode Summary

EDIT
Arriving from the Planet Inquiris to deliver a message of great importance to Dimitria, the alien Visceron is brought down by Divatox, and when he refuses to talk, she meddles with his mind and turns him against the Turbo Rangers. Meanwhile, Tanya's KAGV radio show is targeted both by Divatox (a detonator is placed on the transmitter tower) and the Bulk & Skull Chimps (they hope to get noticed as humans by getting on the air!)moreless

  • *spoiler* NOTHING HAPPENS.

    4.0
This is just about the most empty episode of Power Rangers to this point in the series. It's not as though the writing or acting or any of that is outright bad so much as nothing really happens. Divatox and her crew are settling into their roles though, which makes their scenes more entertaining. There's a cool twist with the fight and the chimp joke is ok. Adams reaction is pretty funny while he looks through the glass. Still, 20 minutes go by and what actually happened? Not much of anything. The mostly complete lack of any action isn't even really the issue so much as the scenes are empty. Skip it and move on.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • At the radio station when the rangers are doing battle with the pirahnatrons the detonator shows 4 minutes but in the next shot it shows 7 minutes.

  • QUOTES (1)

    • Porto: Your new assignment is to guard this detonator with your life. Got it?
Visceron: Got it, Port-head! I'll guard it with my wife. Oh, no. I'm not married!
Porto: Not your wife, you fool! Your LIFE!
      Visceron: All righty! Will do!
Porto: This guy makes Elgar look like Einstein! I'm glad this wasn't my idea. Get me outta here! (disappears)

  • NOTES (1)

    • Visceron's big news, that Dimitria has a long-lost twin sister, was originally intended to be a running sub-plot for this season, with the result being Divatox was this missing sibling. But it was quickly dropped. The only real hint at any resolution is in "Countdown To Destruction (2)", where Divatox, after the Zordon-Wave, appears in Dimitria-style attire.
