      • Julie: If I know my Sarah, she'll be doing it in half an hour.
Spike: Yeah, just as soon as they sew up her wrists.

      • Sarah: How dare he? Rating us like cattle, pinning numbers on us, as if we care where we come on his stupid litte scale...Um, I only got four.
Julie: See the names he crossed off? They're the ones who got asked to the party first.(Sarah hangs up) Sarah? Sarah?
        Spike: You know Gary Morris?
        Julie: I was a nine.
        Kenny: What about Sarah?
        Spike and Julie: Four.

      • Gary: Look, take a hint and push off.
Spike: Didn't I see you in a film once? Cretins from Mars?
Sarah: I'm sorry, Spike, but no way.
        Spike: Well, Lynda says if...
Sarah: We don't have to do everything Lynda says, Spike. We're not all nuts about her.
        Spike: What?
Gary: Are you trying to say that I'm from Mars?
Sarah: Never mind, Gary! Let's just go.
Spike: At least take your notes.
Sarah: Okay, if it'll make you feel any better. But I'm not doing anything with them.
Gary: And I was born in Basingstoke.
Spike: Sorry, pal, wrong planet. And I'm not nuts about her!

      • Gary: She happens to be going out with me tonight.
Spike: Please, one disaster at the time.

      • (Spike is calling around to find Sarah)
Spike: Hi, Nichola? It's Spike. Listen, I know you're kinda best pals with Sarah Jackson and everything. I was wondering, you couldn't tell me which party she went to with Gary Morris tonight, could you?... No, I didn't know Gary Morris was your boyfriend! (She hangs up)

      • Frazz: It's crazy! Spike, how am I supposed to do the horoscopes a week in advance?
Spike: Why not? You never really predict anything anyway. Just make it up.
Frazz: Yeah, right. So how do I predict what I'll make up in a weeks time?
Spike: It could be worse, Frazz. Listen, Lynda's gotta find some total mug to report the school fotball a week before it happens.
Frazz: Spike, I'm getting pretty sick and tired of hearing you call me a total mug.

      • (Spike is calling Sarahs mum to find out where she is)
Spike: Listen, I wonder if you could tell me, which party Sarah went to with Gary Morris tonight?...She told you she was going to her aunt's?...No, I didn't know you'd forbidden her to go to any more parties...Or to see Gary Morris...No, perhaps you'd better not tell her that I phoned.

      • (About the Rainy Day file)
        Lynda: What's in it?
Kenny: Wet stories. Do you really wanna hear about a mad old lady who keeps 32 cats?
        Lynda: That's not so mad.
Kenny: Oh yeah? She says she's saving them up for a coat!
        Lynda: I see.
Kenny: She's got names for them too; Sleeve, Pocket, Collar.
Lynda: Well we must be able to use that somewhere.
        Kenny: How about pets corner?

      • Sarah: That's it, I'm off. If Lynda asks, I'm at a party with Gary Morris.
        Frazz: Oh, 265.
Sarah: Are you guys counting every time I say I've got a date?
        Spike and Frazz: 266.

      • Sarah: Why is it taking so long? Why this time is it taking so long? I've got a date tonight!
        Frazz: 263.
Spike: You know the rules, Sarah. Nobody leaves until we get a verdict.
Sarah: Well I'm going to a party with Gary Morris in half an hour!
        Spike: 264.
        Sarah: What?
