  • Aria is jealous when Ezra spends time with her former babysitter.

Aria is jealous when Ezra spends time with her former babysitter.
  • Why do they keep recycling the same storylines over and over again?

Hannah doing something awful for money. Her arguing with Sean over Lucas. Aria and Ezra arguing over someone else. It's just the same storylines over and over again. The new "rebel" boy is a very unlikeable character and Aria's parents dancing together just felt weird after everything they went through. Also, there are many intricate to the storyline characters that were missing. Spencer's boyfriend(forgot his name), Jenna, Toby, and Noel.

Now the good stuff. It was funny seeing Emily drunk. Yes, I know it was supposed to be done in a dramatic way to showcase how upset she was, but it still came off as funny and the actress did a good a really good job.

There was suspense. The opening scene for example was the perfect continuation to last episode's closing scene. The discovery of the picture and Spencer's reaction left us curious.

The closing scene with Aria's mother was quite chilling.

But all that good stuff kept getting overshadowed by the annoying familiarity of the recycled storylines making me feel dumb.

This show started off incredibly well, but for the past 4-5 episodes it's been great one week and just okay the other.moreless
  • Season 1, Episode 14

A great offering of "Pretty Little Liars" here. It starts right where the last episode ended. with the girls shocking discovery on Spencer's laptop, and the mysterious"person" that was spying on them.

The school is having their annual "walk-a-thon", but the girls are too busy to worry about raising money.

Spencer's laptop is missing and they think Ian has it in his briefcase at the walk-a-thon, so Spencer tries to steal it back. Aria's babysitter shows back up and sets her eyes on Ezra making Aria furious. Hanna is again being tormented by A for money, this time she being paid per dance she dances with Lucas, causing tension between her and Shawn. Emily deals with Maya going to rehab and gets drunk at the walk-a-thon. Spencer and Hanna return to her house with a drunk Emily and find her laptop with the video erased and a new picture from A on it saying, "Watch you backs. I didn't." -A

Then we saw Aria's mom give #32 at the dance A's black jacket and gloves!

A very entertaining episode tonight. 9.3/10moreless

Good episode of Pretty Little Liars tonight, of course, it wasn't as good as the last episode, and definitely wasn't as eventful but it was still an entertaining watch. It looks like A has been bullying Hannah as of late, and I just feel really bad for her. First with the cupcakes, then having to torment Lucas. I guess I feel more bad for Lucas, I was rooting for him this season, and it just looks like things just get worse for him by episode.

More Aria & Ezra drama. Yawn. I think we've gotten past the whole "Aria is younger" topic. It was just too generic, even if I did like the actress who played Simone, after her stint on Supernatural, it was good to see her here. Drunk Emily made me realize what a bad actress Shay Mitchell can be, her drunk just wasn't believable, and I definitely was not buying what she was trying to sell.

Spencer continues to be my favorite pretty little liar, from the nice save after Emily confronts Ian to the very end and the very creepy picture. The plot thickens, and again, I'm left in anticipation for the next episode. I'd also like to add I love the closing scenes, tonight's was quite funny.moreless
