Pretty Little Liars S05E05: "Miss Me x 100"

Remember how I mentioned last week that we might see a lot more interpersonal exploration thanks to the ramifications of Alison’s return? That Pretty Little Liars could feasibly spend a good half-season or more of this plodding character work as we unpack the aftermath of Season 4 and still have a few more filler episodes? Well, that’s over.

While Marlene King has been saying in every Q&A and interview that Episode 100 might be one of her favorite episodes of the series, we can now see that her sentiment is about more than just her show hitting that golden syndication number. We should go back and check to see whether this installment was sponsored by Proctor & Gamble, because man, the SUDS on this show. And where there are suds, there is action. So long, still-life episodes.

Where do we even start? How about with all that sweet love that was made?

Almost every important ‘shipper name that PLL has to offer got a little action in some respect. #Spoby is nothing special since Toby hasn’t completely violated Spencer’s trust in awhile (when was Toby part of A in Rosewood time—has it only been a few months?) and it never occurred to Spencer to sell herself to Andrew for a few magic study pills. They got together in the cab of his truck, and compared to all the other ‘shipper couple appearances, their activities were downright pedestrian. I mean, sacred ground was being consecrated, after all.

The groanworthy yet inevitable return of #Ezria held out for as long as it possibly could. After her meltdown last season upon finding out that Ezra was the finkiest fink who ever finked, we might’ve hoped for more from Aria, that it was time for her to grow as a person. With a season opener that involved Aria doing something traumatic and a few subsequent episodes dealing with her remorse, it's felt even more like we were going to get a version of the character who that wasn’t defined by the man she was with. But that spectre of Fitz always lurked about, always haunted her. Disappointing as it is that she caved so soon (it’s only been a few weeks since she found out about Ezra’s scheme to sell her life as a book), the show did a good job of establishing the pair's premise in this episode: No matter what happens between these two, they will always, at the very least, habitually have boundary issues.

From her fingers brushing his cheek to his wiping pie from her mouth and then licking it off his thumb, their relationship is still too fresh for them to not engage in boyfriend/girlfriend behavior. Though I think the pie thing might be mom behavior and, therefore, a little creepy. Par for the course. Anyhow, there were a lot of mitigating factors that caused Aria to forget what Ezra did and to forgive with her burning loins: her guilt, a case of PTSD, the chaos of Alison returning, her parents and brother magically disappearing, dem abs with a scar (and, so I hear, chicks dig scars), and the fact that Ezra has been the one stable thing in her life. Ever present, ever willing, ever inviting. And the cover of The Police’s stalker anthem “Every Breath You Take” as their lovemaking soundtrack was the perfect touch.

There was another couple working on their night moves to the sweet lyrics of Sting’s ode to lover’s surveillance, but we should talk quickly about #Haleb, as the moment Hanna left him in Rosewood was the beginning of a dramatic countdown to their reunion.

Poor, stupid Travis. I like the kid, but ever since Caleb boarded a bus to meet a soon-to-be ghost, you knew Travis was doomed. He was destined to be sucked in by Hanna's smoky eye makeup and gray-area ethics, if only so that he could eventually be a vertex in a romantic triangle opposite the mightiest cheekbones this side of Susquehanna. Oh, Travis. Your manners and blue-collar groundedness were always going to be put on trial and, unfortunately, you're at a 'shipping mash-up name disadvantage. Hanvis? Tranna? Trahannavis? Haleb is the clear winner here. But it’s going to be a slow burn as Caleb worms his way back into the regular cast and works his way toward a confrontation with Travis, when he'll mount his return (so to speak). Honestly, Travis, you’re probably better off surrendering on this one.

Even though we’ve been anticipating the restoration of #Haleb for quite some time, the #Emison feels like the biggest story because it informs so much. It’s a coupling I have trouble supporting since anyone getting together with Alison is the biggest mistake of your life, no contest. And it would be bad if Paige or Shana or whoever slipped under her thumb, but Emily is easy picking and hasn't done anything to hurt anyone, so it feels like Alison is punishing her through a drawn-out manipulation. I know that Emison has a ton of support on the internet, but to me, this feels like she’s taking aim at a mockingbird.

It all started with Alison’s Apology Tour, which we knew was coming but couldn’t discern whether it would be sincere or not. She won over a number of people already recruited to Mona’s Heroes just by walking into school. But it was all downhill from there. Her talk with Paige felt empty even with the tear (there were a lot of manipulative tears in this episode). And then there was the soapslapping with Mona.

That's where it all fell apart, in that church with her incumbent adversary. Though Alison’s apologies and vulnerability teetered between maybe valid and totally insincere, the conversation with Mona made everything that preceded it ring false. This is Pretty Little Liars, so you can’t be too sure if the threats Alison made—while a flustered Mona rationalized that she’s “all better now”—were bravado in order to scare Mona, or if they were purely a slip of the mask. Was she just puffing up to protect herself, or did her true colors shine through? I would say it’s a combination of the two with a heavy dose of the latter. But that means she’s also probably working the Liars into forgiveness, which makes her tangle in the sheets with Emily all that more deplorable.

Alison is not a sexually defined person. She seems eager to flirt and tease indiscriminately in order to save herself or to get ahead. Ezra, Shana, Ian, and countless others have suffered the consequences of lusting after that cherub face. I might even venture to say that, on the spectrum of sexuality, she might be asexual but knows she has enough going for her to manipulate people. She doesn’t seem to be driven by any sort of sexual appetite. The gender she wants to take home, or even if she wants to go home with anyone, isn't really important. I point it out only because sex seems to mean only one thing to her, and that’s getting her way. There’s no art to this war and there is no romance in her violence.

So, in the end, all the ‘shippers dreams met up in a living room to watch “breaking news” on the identity of the body that was actually dug up in the diLaurentis backyard, just to cap an already sudsy affair. #Haleb, #Ezria, #Emison, and #Spoby looked on as the police announced that the body belongs to Bethany Young, a teenage escapee from that secure bastion known as Radley. Arkham Asylum rears its head into our lives once again. Coincidence? Is anything?

And then Toby’s house exploded. And A came back. Oh, and Jenna’s in Rosewood. And Sydney’s cool with Mona and Jenna. And the Hastings are splitting up. It was almost too much for one episode.

This isn’t a guarantee that next week won’t be a breather episode and that we’re only going to get exciting installments full of chaos and explosions from here until the summer finale. But it seems like we’ve turned the corner on the season. The writers have unpacked all they want to unpack in dealing with Alison’s return in and of itself, and they're willing to complicate everything with A and Mona and possibly an evil Ali. If you were really digging these slower episodes with banter and dreams of hobbies, consider the gang walking through the flaming detritus of 47 Serenity Lane your post-apocalypse. Funnily enough, you didn’t even really get a funeral.

NOTES

– Jenna’s back in town and Aria feels compelled to relieve her guilt by trying to make someone, anyone, who's been affected by Shana’s death feel a little bit better. The trouble is trying to determine whether Jenna actually cared about Shana, or if her sobbing in a corner when Aria walked right into the Cavanaugh home (because blind people don’t deserve privacy, I suppose) were for the Liar’s benefit. Sydney seems to be acting as a suitable replacement.

Oh, by the way, Sydney’s cool with Jenna. And Jenna’s cool with Mona. We didn’t do an over-under on how soon it would be before Sydney turned out to be in with one of the clandestine cliques on this show, but I honestly didn’t think it would be this soon. To be fair, though, this is not the face of someone who just wants swimming advice.

– Gayrons. Alison called people gayrons, as in “gay morons.” Here’s the thing about Alison: She’s not really all that creative. She called Mona “Loser Mona.” I think that would be the most vexing part. At least put some thought into your insults. Don’t just smoosh words together or put “loser” in front of my name and think you’re being clever. Gah. No wonder people want to get rid of her. Choose a better bully. At least with Mona there are cupcakes.

– It’s interesting how the show overshadowed Papa Hastings, possibly killing Mrs. D with the effect: Mama Hastings leaving her husband. Which is completely justified since Papa Hastings insists on being super shady, but the more momentous occasion in Spencer’s life isn’t that a Rosewood male she’s close with could be a murderer, but that her parents are splitting up. In any case, it led to a sweet scene with Spencer and fellow divorce victim Hanna.

– This episode was a fine vintage for Hanna lines:

  • On Jenna being back in town and her distaste for Aria seeing blind Jenna and attracting attention to the Liars: “If she's not looking for us or smelling for us then...”
  • Upon learning that Lucas has a girlfriend with whom he is intimate: “Lucas, you’re doing it with her! … Okay, now that is best consumed rapidly and repeatedly.”
  • After telling Travis he doesn’t know the half of what she thinks: “Did I just say ‘you don’t even know the half of it?’”

– Ashley: “I would be madder than a skunk …” Is that real phrase?

– I know we saw Bridget Wu once this series, but I feel like she’s PLL’s Tino. And she’s so gossipy.

– Hanna's hangover outfit.

– Aria's naked back for that sex scene? Saucy.

– Could the Liars not see the massive jump cut in Mona’s video between Ali’s ranting and the slap? That’s really Alison’s fault, though. Every violent sociopath knows that you don’t hit people where everyone can see the bruises.

– Aria: “Mona blue snarfed us?”

– Your Moment of A: The bitch is back, so to speak. I love how A moves using eco-boxes instead of cardboard. Very earth friendly. Although there was a lot of plastic wrap on that dollhouse. Were the movers not creeped out when they realized they were working for a creeper in a hood and gloves? Must be why they cleared out real quick.

I don't usually comment on here because 1) people on here have already said what I'm thinking - so I "thumbs up them", so to speak and 2) I'm embarrassed that I still watch this crap, but I just can't quit Hanna and Spencer - I'm still praying for the day that they get their own spin-off where they run their own detective agency, take that True Detective!

Anyway...
*Sydney being a baddie - no duh!
*Ezra - well, I hope that one day Toby and Caleb realise that he's a slimy perv, wait for him to walk down a dark alley and give him a bloody good kickin'. I hate the guy and I'm so sick of Aria crawling back to him that I've lost all respect for her. I just hope that the writers actually have a plan and they aren't keeping them together because they think it's some big destined romance, because it isn't, it's just criminal. And for the love of God can they please give Aria some kind of personality back, and maybe some parental guidance?
*Hanna is awesome. I think her one-lines are a top-two reason why I still watch this show (I quite like Troian Bellisario - you know, like like, being the other reason). Anyway, I don't want her to get back together with Caleb, I think he screwed up in leaving her and he shouldn't be let off the hook so easily.
*What's with the recent trend to have shitty facial hair? Caleb and Travis look ridiculous.
*Emily and Alison... really? Whilst it was interesting to watch from an Ezra-esque perspective, I just don't get why the writers felt the need to go there. Whilst I do completely agree with Nick about Ali and her attitude to sex I don't see what she could possibly gain from sleeping with Emily as she was already pre-disposed to forgive Ali, that's the Emily way.
*Poor Emily needs a vacation - but not in the north east.
*I don't like Toby and I wouldn't be surprised if her was still playing both sides, but I may be a bit biased because he's dating Spence - the lucky twat.
*I'm glad Jenna is back. Am I the only one that was hoping she actually joined the Rosewood Four Five? Oh, never mind then!
*So Spencers parents are splitting up (I'm not surprised). Why hasn't Spencer locked her family in a room and refused to let them out until they tell her what the F is going on? She's certainly smart enough to pull it off and they all seem to underestimate her. How long are they going to keep telling her little bits of nothing and let her be tortured by her own imagination, that's just cruel.
*Finally, that house explosion was actually kind of exciting, well done PLL. I'm willing to bet that someone was in the house, but it definitely won't be Jenna, despite the initial, obvious, suspicion that it is.

Thanks for the recaps Nick, they always make me reconsider the episode and my overall thinking about what is going on.

Am I the only one who thought Jenna was dead? Didn't she drown in a lake or something or am I confusing her with someone else?

Also, where was Emily's mom during all of this? We were told she was at home yet she didn't bother to come out and watch the news or go outside during an explosion.

Nice episode, glad A is back

She almost died. That was when Shana told the Liars (who were in the waiting room of the hospital) that "nothing good comes from being around you four." Which might still be the truest statement ever spoken on the show.

I've said it before... I love this show and I hate this show, I'm so confused! I really don't know how I feel about it! From a standpoint of having five seasons of suspense and mystery, and small (and medium) reveals to feed the audience, I still feel like we are all over the place. I definitely think I need to go back to watch from the start...

I have to admit, I really like the tension and dynamic Alison coming back has brought to the show. I think that exploring the character development from the fall out more would have been great, and I hope that it still happens, even with the drama of this episode that has propelled the season forward. I am torn on Alison, I hated her for the first few seasons but I think that she genuinely wants to be a better person and to learn from her mistakes...she should have known better than to be manipulated by Mona...that behaviour is very much part of her, but I think she was being defensive. I cant help but feel that this season is a good opportunity to redeem her character.

I think they blew up Jenna/Toby's house so that the liars esp Aria think that Jenna is a target from the new A and not in cahouts with Mona. By blowing up Jenna's house Aria is going to keep piling the guilt on herself, maybe even blame herself and the liars for Jenna's place going up in smoke. It's all part of their plan to make Jenna seem like a victim so she can worm her way into the liars lives.

If you didn't think that Sydney was going to be involved ganging up against the liars, where have you been the past five seasons?!? We must not have been watching the same show, EVERY single new person that is introduced into this show has in some part, large or small, been involved in causing the liars some sort of pain, it's par for the course.

I don't mind that we're 5 seasons into the show and still have no clue as to who A is. For all I care, I can wait until the 94th season to find out (if I'm still alive then). But I am so very sick of watching hoodies and gloves for A. It defies reality when I think about how a person can pull it off through summer and winter, while trying to clip their nails or applying hand lotion. I mean don't the gloves ever come off? How does someone walk around town dressed like that all the time without setting off the alarm for vandals or terrorism suspects? This seems way too far-fetched to me. Am I the only one bothered by A's attire the show tries to pull off?

The key to remain incognito is to blend in. I just think if A goes on a day out dressed like that - all day, every day - he/she is bound to be noticed.

I'm with you 100%. I don't understand how no one's Spidey Sense starts tingling when someone starts buying hoodies and leather gloves in bulk, particularly when they're the same person buying duct tape and parts for baby-sized caskets. But this is a theory that I've ventured before in the comments sections of other posts.

I'm guessing the A costume generally (though not always) is only for our benefit. Within the context of the storyworld, those characters aren't wearing the hoodies and gloves but it's the only way to show those blips of insight without revealing any identifying characteristics. Now, there are times that they were, particularly when they're creeping about. But when they're just setting up their doll parties or chowing down on some fries, the outfits are just narrative devices to maintain the integrity of A's secret identity only to us.

Or I'm overthinking it and Rosewood is populated by the single dumbest collection of milksops in small-town history. One or the other.

I've just decided to stop fighting Ezria. I'll admit, I really enjoyed the couplings at the end. It was really nice to see the liars with their men [and Alison] all in on the secret. I was really hoping another car had come through Emily's house though...

I think Alison is honest, that she wants to change but Mona was pushing her botons so old bitchy Alison was back to defend herself, as soapy as it was I loved that Alison returned the slap and even with nails lol.
Enjoyed the explosion at the end, A was literally back with a bang.

The one that was naked was Emily? it wasn't Aria?

Alison really is an awful person, isnt she? She strikes me as some kind of socio path, like, a shit version of how Dexter acted around other people.
I do not get the support for Emison, it just feels so forced. I repeat my earlier call for Em to just be single for a bit!!
Hanna continues to be the best thing in this show. Loved her hangover outfit. If I tried to dress like that, even on a good day, I'd look like a homeless person.
Hahahahahahahha, lost my shit at the church slapping.
After two years of torture, the liars can't spot a terrible editing job? Have you girls learned NOTHING?!
Of course Sydney is shady, because, Rosewood.
For all it's ridiculousness, this was actually an OK episode. Lucas was acceptably creepy, Mona was weird, there was an explosion, a moment of A, Ian Harding's abs (yum!), Caleb (also yum) and Mrs. Hastings leaving Papa Hastings! All good juicy stuff!

Wow, this show really does try hard to make you want to slap the characters in the face, don't they? Just the fact that they didn't notice the jump cut in the video.... Ugh.

Okay episode, though, I guess. I just wished they wrapped up the A mystery in the beginning of this season so we could focus on what they're trying to do with Alison going back to school, Monas army etc, and they could begin an entirely new mystery. All shock value of Head A is gone now. In season seven when they'll reveal who it was, it'll be like "Okay, so he/she did that stuff to them seven years ago? Okay, then."

Well, to be fair, we know who A was for the first two seasons. That was Mona. We're now trying to piece together who has been from season 3 forward (the one who "changed the game"). That's the so-called "Uber A." We've also got some surprises ahead of us where some may learn the identity of A, some will not, and, after season 5, we may skip through time and pick up after the college years. There are some interesting things in store but not for those that really want to know who A is now. For them, it's going to be a really frustrating journey.

As far as Alison goes, I think it's a mix. This is a girl that got to where she was by lies and manipulation and we've seen her desire to have some semblance of that back. That being said, I do think living on the run, etc. has changed her to some degree. She's just too secretive to make a full judgment on yet.

I'm still chuckling over the "Every Breath You Take" thing. I mean, they have to pick what songs go in the episode and anyone that isn't living under a rock knows what that song is about so you would think it would have to be a deliberate choice to put it there. But I think it's just too meta for them. I don't know. I'd love to see someone ask them about that in an interview.

Once the title of this episode was released, I knew we'd see the return of -A. Wasn't counting on them blowing up Toby's house in the process but that's a definite way to get their attention.

And of course, Arkham is gonna come back into play. Not at all surprising. As long as we don't get bogged down in Toby's momma drama again I'm ok with it.

I think Alison is being genuine, considering what shes been through these past 2 and a half years, (running scared and alone away from someone who wanted to kill her) you'd think shes had some time for some introspection and realise the kind of person she was and the person she wants to be. I don't think shes manipulating emily, and as for the scene with mona, i reckon she was just putting up a front. She was terrified, she knows exactly what monas capable of, she could either give in to the fear and piss her pants, or try and fight back, so she fought back the only way she knew how-being that horrible bitch she used to be.

1. So A is back - and we're back to square one. We've all suspected he / she will be back at some point - but I thought this season (or at least it's summer part) will focus on Mona's freak gang. Ah well.

2. Not Mariska left Papa Hastings. Finally! I always liked her and it's great she's taking Spencer with her. Also Hannah and Spencer "daughters of divorcees" scene - awwww.

3, I'm not sure how I feel about Emison. I need to see more of them before I decide.

4. I loved the whole Team Alison watching the news in the tv. Great scene!

5. So Sydney is a bad cookie. Figures.

6. Caleb's new hairdo - NO.

Thanks for review, Nick.

So if they were at Emily's house, when that bomb went off, where was Em's mother??? ;D I think her mom was home, when Ali wanted to stay there, but I am sure show would be like " oh thank god,my mom is away for weekend" :D

At least Ali writes "sos-I am at the curch". I think,if I remember correctly, girls in past season just wrote SOS and they all somehow knew, where they should go...

Also, at this point if your Emily's mother how the hell would you not move out of Rosewood immediately? A car went through your living room and then your neighbor's house blew up! Plus, your daughter has been stalked, had a pain killer problem and so on. It's not like that family is tied to Rosewood for work or anything.

I liked Hanna's outfit too, but I have to say, back in the nineties when I was in high school and if I wasn't in a school uniform, that would have probably been my every day outfit.

I hate Alison and I think I might have forgiven Paige for trying to drown Emily last night. Which is uncomfortable for me.

So...Mona's goal is to get the Liars to mistrust and eventually hate Ali? Okay, I totally get that and could get behind it even. It likely means we won't be torturing the Liars any longer. But, I guess i don't get blowing up Toby's house. I mean, are we going to be pretending Jenna was inside? And did we set a further bomb to get any emergency workers? What was the point of that other than PLL to say, look we can do an explosion. And seriously, that was Emily's house they were in, after the car crash last season, the neighborhood didn't get surveillance or something? I know they weren't after Toby or anything, I don't actually think he lives there anymore.

I don't think we're supposed to assume Jenna was inside. If that was the case, they would've made a bigger deal of it, particularly showing Jenna as being inside. I'm not exactly sure why the house went up either, mostly because I don't know who gains anything from it. Mona? Jenna? Mr. Hastings? Who benefits? Is that house full of secrets? I'm sure we'll find out eventually.

Would you walk into that school by Alison's side?
Yes. I fully understand the lies upon lies upon lies forever and ever, BUT...I am a huge sucker when it comes to redemption storylines (Jaime, the Hound - GoT; Regina - OUAT; Mycroft - Elementary; Santana - Glee) and really want to see how this plays out, especially with Emily's blatant feelings for Alison.

What's Jenna plotting?
This threw me off when she met up with Sydney and Mona because she looked/acted genuinely distraught. I dunno.

Will Hanna ever pay attention to science?
Hell no haha!

I KNEW IT! I knew this Sydney-girl has to be one of the worst!!! She was so kind till now, and that's why it was so.damn.obvious!
I'm pretty sure Jenna, Sydney and Mona are not the only three members of the leading team. They turned around when a car arrived, so... Who's the fourth?! Maybe Melissa??
So now we have two "enemies": A AND Mona's army, right?

I approve that Emily is busy finding out her feelings about Alison, so she can discover that she's over Ali and go back to Paige! MUAHAHAHAA ;)

Love Hanna's punk outfit!

LOL I never saw them that way. I heard, IF I remember correctly, that Syd is going to have a boyfriend who will be introduced, so I never imagined her with Emily! XD And I wouldn't want to see her with Ems because I never trusted her. As a Paily shipper I'd rather see Ems with Ali than with Sydney. :P Feels more like Syd is Ems monitor.
Btw I absolutely respect Emison-shipping, but I'm staying with my Paily-armada. ;)
However I'm not sure if Ems and Ali slept together in this episode or just kissed. Every other couple gets explicit scenes about that, but when it comes to Emily it always remains pretty subtle... I even would've never ever guessed that she had sex with Maya if Marlene King wouldn't have announced it...

yeah, I'm the same about Maya, but I'm pretty sure they did sleep together this episode, I'm guessing they're forced to keep it vague when it comes to Emily because there'd be uproar if they went any further with a lesbian sex scene. Sad but true

No me gusta... :/

Yeah I think it's funny how Emily's trying to friend-zone Paige yet she keeps inviting her to do stuff with Sydney (who's also being majorly friend-zoned)! #Emison ftw (as long as Ali keeps telling the truth...).

Guess I'm not the only one who does NOT trust Ali (yet)?
Good episode, best of this season so far. Except the Ezria part, that creeped me out. Who in the world's name would get back together with her stalker? Even though he says his feelings were real? Hellow, he's creepy stalker! :O

As creepy as the stalking was, he did take a bullet for her. That should count for something.

He didnt really take it for her, he just got shot. its not like he dived in front of it or anything

I was thinking the same about the ezria bit, are there any ezria fans still out there?Surely no-one thinks its an acceptable relationship anymore?

its so wrong, I didnt have THAT big a problem with it in earlier seasons, but since we found out about the insane stalker stuff, im surprised her friends arent really concerned about her spending so much time with him :s

Finally! I think this last episode was the the first really good one in a LONG time!!!. A IS BACK (thanks God) Caleb is back (*.*). Hopefully we are back on track!.

Ps: Was I the only one who started laughing during the love scene? I mena "Every step you take I'll be watching you" a stalker song, perfect! XD

'Every breath you take' playing while Aria & Ezra hooked up creeped me the hell out. In that way, it was very appropriate.

Every Breath You Take when Erza and Aria hook up?!?!?!?!?! I'm dying laughing. If only they'd actually done that intentionally.

I'm fairly certain it was, though i wish they'd chosen a creepier cover rather than a more romantic one, it gives the impression they want us to like that they're getting back together. :s

Exactly. They think of Ezria of endgame regardless of how creepy the relationship is, but then make a conscious decision to play a song about a stalker? That's just WAY too meta for this show.

Good episode. I am glad Caleb is back. Ezria makes me sick. Emison is meh. I have a feeling that Ali is just playing Em. I don't think Toby is right for Spencer so no to Spoby. Haleb or Havis? Caleb did leave Hanna for a dead girl. So there is a point for Havis, but Haleb has more chemistry. I am going with Haleb. I loved the ending. We did get a hoodie moment at the end. B+

Who pulled up when the girls were talking? Swim girl and Jenna had the same glasses. Interesting. I had hoped for her to be Emily's new girl.

Just don't like the Spoby bits. Emison has chemistry though. Bit soon for Emily to be rejecting alis advances, though you could tell she didn't want to reject it. Ezria was hot too. Nobody is looking at Ezra like he's bad anymore, but everyone is looking at Alison wrong. The liars have short tempers.

Totally would have walked in with Ali. Actually thought the girls were a little too hard on her. I'm probably alone in that.

I loved this episode. Ya some of it was predictable but most of it was either entertaining or things I like.

I love Toby and Spencer together we haven't seen enough of them lately. I also love Caleb back hopefully him and Hana get back together.

Then Toby and Caleb can hang out and get more screen time.

I'm not a fan of Ezra and Aria but I liked how he helped her realize shania wasn't innocent and I could be fine with them back together.

I loved the ending I just wish we could have seen the text.

Best episode since the premire, the ending really brought it home.

Wow. Aria and Ezra=predictable. Love Spencer and Toby. Alison and Emily=meh, cuz I don't trust Alison after seeing her go into bitch mode again. Sydney working for the anti Ali team=predictable. Bethany young in Ali's Grave....well a lot of us knew it would be a patient from Radley. There goes the Ali twin theory because 17 is older than Ali would've been. A coming back, hahaha, nice return. I liked seeing everyone together though, even if I don't ship Ezria or Emison.

I think Alison's twin is A and the person that tried to kill her. Its already been confirmed by the creator that Shawna wasn't A- now this episode conveyed that.

They're not doing the Ali twin theory, marlene already said that.

That being said...I will say that I rather liked that the stalker tones of that song come through much more immediately in this cover than the original, which seemed fitting for the show.
