The twin that Hanna's mother sees in this episode is the twin that did the stabbing in Alison's story in season 2's Halloween episode, identifiable by the birthmark on her right cheek.

The picture on the wall behind Emily at "Nate's" cabin when he is out gathering firewood is the same as the picture in A's lair at the Lost Woods Resort in UnmAsked.

The song is playing at the end of this episode, "Hands of Time" by Rachel Diggs, is the same song played at the end of the pilot episode.

The car Emily sees while jogging is the same car Jenna was driving in the season two finale. Both cars have the license plate number of CHD-2463, and are a light blue Mustang convertible.

It is revealed that Ella and Byron were married November 22, 1987 at 2:00pm; St. Barnard's Church 22 Church Street Rosewood, PA

It is revealed that Ella's parents' names are Jack and Judy Rose.

We learn that Ella's middle name is Jane and her madden name is Rose when Aria is helping her mom pack her things and opens her parents' wedding album.

Right before Hanna exits the store with her mother she remembers that she had forgotten to take off a necklace she had been trying on. When she takes it off she clearly does not re-clasp it, yet when it's shown hanging from the mannequin's hand in which Hanna put it; the necklace is clasped and hanging from its wrist.

Spencer's birthday is revealed as 6/12/94 as it is in view on one of the pill bottles after awaking on the morning after she supposedly saw Alison.

At the father daughter dance, Emily's father wears a uniform with first lieutenant insignia on the shoulders. He was previously identified in dialogue as a lieutenant colonel.

When Aria's dad is questioning her about what she is going to do on her "date" with Holden, he asks what time she will be home. But since Aria's mom is driving her to and from the "date", he shouldn't have to ask this.

In this episode Alison is shown keeping her wooden box of secret things in what appears to be a heat register on the wall, but in an earlier episode (Touched by an A-ngel) Jason tell's Aria he found the box under floorboards in Ali's room.

The note that Emily receives from A reads:

In the video clip of Toby and Jenna that the girls are watching Jenna is wearing the same style of shirt that Alison was wearing when she went missing – except that Jenna's is a dark red, while Alison's was yellow.

When Ezra looks through the DVDs that Aria rented, he says that she got "all five seasons of Big Love". This is impossible since season five of Big Love was still being aired at the time and is still not available on DVD.

After Hanna slaps Jenna, Jenna has blood dripping from her lip, but after Hanna picks up Jenna's sunglasses and the camera pans back to Jenna the blood is gone.

Goof: In this episode Toby said to Spencer when she went to see him that he could not leave his house for French tutoring, but in the last episode he was walking free through the street.

The title, Je Suis Une Amie, translated from French to English, means I am a friend.
