What makes this final conflect really enduring for me is that both Marmou and Usagi are at their best in this episode and so is Dark Lady. Usagi and Marmou really show their love for their daughter and do what any parients would do to save their own sibling.

It's not a physical battle no it's a spiritual battle. The characters don't use their powers against dark lady even though they have the opportunities to do it and kill her. But they still feel it's not too late for her to be saved and they go thorough with it no matter what. Despite how much power Wiseman is using to destroy Chibi-Usa's soul it, never conquered her nor could it destroy the power of love from parient to sibling, sibling to parent. It was a relief to see that she was saved, but of course it comes down to the final battle. At that point we discover how the silver crystal was lost in the future, that Chibi-Usa did something kids should do, she played around with it only for it to disappear. But we see it never disapeared she had it all this time, it became a part of her she was now the holder of the crystal.

In a way it's metaphor and the whole theme of most of the season was on self growth, Chibi-Usa was sort of your typical spoiled brat at first, exersised a lot of disrespectful behavior which was unforgiving and made her a little unlikeable (and that was the point) but then we seen thoughout everything she went though she's evolved beyond it and the last step to that evolution was to repent for her own sins, which brings her one step closer to her ideal self and what she will become in the future. There is something touching about seeing both the mother and daughter fight together near the end.

And of course it comes down to a heartwarming conclusion when Chibi-Usa returns to the future to see all of Crystal Tokyo saved, but also her whole family once more. Chibi-Usa has now became more than a child, the power of one no matter how big or small can move mountains and truely make a difference.moreless
