EDIT

A cargo plane is plunged into the past after an anomaly opens on an airfield runway. Evan and Dylan attempt to rescue the pilots by entering the anomaly. As the pilot tries to repair his plane with their assistance, he is eaten by a swarm of carnivorous beetles that emerge from a hive underneath the aircraft. Evan, Dylan and the remaining pilot are trapped inside the plane by the swarm as they attempt to repair it and fly it back to the present. Meanwhile, Mac and his girlfriend Sam attempt to capture the hive's queen and prevent her from establishing a new hive in the here-and-now.

  • Goodbye Primeval: New World

    1.0
The first two episodes were fair, but good enough to keep watching. But the third episode was so bad I have decided to stop watching this show. The story was ridiculous, the writing was awful, and the acting was horrible. I gave this episode a "1" because there was no zero option.
  • Not bad, but seen before

The series doesn't evolve, it has more gruesome effects than Primeval UK (this is o.k. by me).

I surely like the actors, the effects are good. But the stories have to be more original. Why do the supporting actors die, this is lame, also in Star Trek.

I hope this series becomes a new Stargate/Star Trek franchise( in numbers and support),

because the premise is the same. A gate into another world, fantasy and twilight zone are back again.moreless
  • What in the name of God is the point of this series?

    4.0
I've watched the first three episodes of this complete rip-off series and continue to wonder why anyone thought a re-boot like this was ever worthwhile.

IMHO, a re-boot should introduce new ideas and concepts into a previous version of a show but this travesty simply doesn't.

I was hoping for "bigger", "better" and got neither.

Niall Matter is a very capable actor but Douglas Henshall, he ain't.

As for special effects, you'd think that 5 years on, there might be some visible progress but this episode had one giant bug and millions of small ones that were as well conceived on The Big Bang Theory in the excellent "Red Chair" incident with Sheldon.

If that wasn't bad enough, they simply plagiarised Hannah Spearitt bouncing around in her panties and a Tee in series 1 of Primeval and had Crystal Lowe do the same (I should point out that as a non PC type of guy I had no objection to this, as she is VERY easy on the eyes and I hope they keep it up).

This series is going to have to raise the bar very quickly or it's done and dusted.

My lowest score EVER on TV.com and I thought I'd hit the low point with the re-boot of Beauty and the Beast !!!moreless
  • Why am I still watching this?

Episode #3 is the worst so far. One word: 'boring.' It made me decide to quit watching.
  • Fear of Flying

    9.0
Fear of Flying was a superb and entertaining episode of Primeval: New World. I really enjoyed watching because there was some decent character development, the story was suspenseful and had some great action scenes and the special effects were awesome. I liked how the story played out and it was cool to see the giant bug. I was a grossed out when learning what the big bug did to that guy. The ending was good and I look forward to watching what happens next!!!!!!!!!moreless
