  • Finally a enjoyable episode of primeval

Well after weeks of terrible story telling and zero chracter development Primeval finally improves with a really good episode. This episode was enjoyable for all sorts or reasons but the main was watching connahs and abbies relationship hit a snag which i thought was really good watch. The creatures this week wernt anything special even thought they were from the furture they wernt terribly exciting but that didnt really matter the focus this week was really on the chracters.
The tension between nick and steve was really good to watch. And that big emotinal scene between connah and abbie when she was hanging off the cliff was just really exciting and tense. I actually thought she was a goner for a while.

I great episode of Primeval and this has proved to me what primeval is sill capable off. more episodes like his please !!moreless

  • The team have to deal with water creatures from the future.

    "Great"
This episode was a bit of a gamble. In the previous season the moster under water had been done so there was a danger of making an episode that we have seen before. Thankfully they managed to come up with something to make it different and in doing so created a cracking episode.

This one has so much I had to mark it as pivital. Connor finally declares his feelings for Abby. Cutter gets fired. The infiltration by someone suspicious in ARC is discovered. Cutter and Stephen's relationship starts to break up.
This episode is paced really well so your interest is held. There is some great acting by Andrew as Connor when he has to deal with death for a second time.
The only really weak part in this episode is the idea that people could get dragged underwater, taken a long distance underwater and not drown. If you can look past that then you have a great story.moreless

  • The team investigate a underwater menace.

This episode was just great, great, great. Constant drama, aciton and humor make this to me one of the best episodes to date. I was really happy to see Connor tell Abbey that he loves her even though it was at a perlious time it still made her I believe realize that she could potentially have something with him. I was also glad to see Carter and the "New Claudia" getting along kind of like they used to before the timeline messed up that was really great. The mystery deepens with the whole Helen thing, I wonder if she is trying to disrupt things with the constant anamoly presence. Also it seems to me like she has her own "team" running around and causing problems for Carter and his team. I just hope things don't get to drastic with them!moreless

  • In this great episode, Connor and Abby's feelings come to the fore, as does the friendship of Nick and Steven's. Nick's non-relationship with Jenny also has a nice cameo, as does Helen.moreless

Primeval's episode 4 season 2 is full of character development. First, there's Connor's treatment of Abby: he's fully ready to proclaim that he loves her in a love and death situation, but when the situation is not so extreme, and the mirage of commitment is looming on the horizon, he's more willing to go off to the theater with Caroline instead. Unfortunately for Connor, Caroline is just the tip of iceberg Helen, who is busy launching her own plot, with Leek acting as her lesser cohort. As a result of this plot, the monolite of Nick and Steven's friendship has been chipped somewhat, but it is clearly made of sterner stuff than Helen and Leek think. Finally, Nick's non-relationship with Jenny seems to recieve yet another boost, and Jenny's fiance of mystery seems to be failing to make more of a cameo appearance on the show. Finally, all of this personal development is constantly taking hits, as future sharks and giant sea monkeys from the future seem to be constantly popping up, ready and willing to eat our heroes and terminate the show before the finale.moreless

  • The Mer, a creature from the future, moving around the sewer system!

    9.4
    "Superb"
This was the best episode so far in series 2 i think!, and finally this series they seem to have got the animation right, not perfect but a hell of alot better than the previous episode!

We see some good character development in this one! Connor confesses his love to Abby when he thinks she is going to die, and also we see more development in the whole ARC conspiracy, Connors girlfriend Caroline is working for Leek, and Leek is now working for Helen! i have no idea what she is upto yet though, i am sure we will find out more as the series goes on, well in the next 2 remaining episodes anyway, and good news it has been renewed for s series 3, so no doubt the conspiracy will flow over into series 3!

Oh and i had to laugh when Connor got hit and thrown into the water by the Giant Mer creature, the little scream he let out was hilarious! "Ahhhhh" lol!

Preview for the next episode, episode 5 looks good!, The team get trapped in the past when trying to rescue a girl and are attacked by giant scorpions! :Dmoreless

    • Goof - when Connor is trying to rescue Abby we can see that her hand position on the rock changes as the camera angles switch. The most noticeable of this is when she is hanging by one hand, then we see from Connor's angle that she has both hands on the rock. Edit

    ADD NOTES
    • As of this episode, Abby becomes the first main character to knowingly travel into a future anomaly. Edit
    • International Airdates: Denmark - July 22, 2008 on TV3+ Edit

    • James: Next time I sack you, you might at least pretend to stay sacked for more than five minutes. Still, I suppose it's just as well you decided to disobey my orders, if it had been left up to Stephen we'd all still be looking in the wrong place, wouldn't we? Edit
    • James: You know what, Leek, I think this whole area could benefit from a government redevelopment grant. We'll start with sealing the anomoly site with a few thousand tons of concrete. That should do the job. Oliver: Shall I speak to the contractors? James: No, don't worry, I'll get myself a shovel and a cement mixer and do it myself - yes, of course you should speak to the contractors, you idiot! Edit
