Everyone assumes that Sara left the door open for Michael. However, it never crosses anyone's mind that Sara's key might have been stolen. That was Michael's original plan anyway.
This is the Fox River 8's information:
-Michael Scofield: Structural engineer, 5 years for armed robbery.
-Benjamin Miles Franklin: Former US Army, 8 years for possession of stolen goods.
-John Abruzzi: Don of the crime family of the same name, life without parole for conspiracy to commit murder.
-Charles "Haywire" Patoshik: 60 years for 2nd-degree murder.
-Fernando Sucre: 5 years for aggravated robbery.
-David "Tweener" Apolskis: 5 years for grand larceny.
-Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell: Life for 6 counts of kidnapping, rape and 1st-degree murder.
-Lincoln Burrows: Scheduled to die a week after the break-out for the murder of President Reynolds's brother.
The opening theme now shows scenes of the escapees breaking out and chasing a train. Also, when Dominic Purcell (Lincoln Burrows) is being credited, the "Dominic Purcell" tattoo no longer appears.
Last episode, C-Note said that he has been in jail for 2 years. In this episode, the detectives said 2 months. Ironically, both episodes had the same scriptwriter.
In the scene where the prisoners are driving away in the stolen car, Michael tells Linc to turn and if you look closely, the steering wheel won't move. When it cuts to the side view of Lincoln he's even cracking a little smile!
Steadman's gun changes position when Veronica picks up the phone. First, it's pressed against the back of her head, then it's suddenly a couple of feet away.
Veronica has wounds in both her head and chest, but the agent's arm didn't waver when he fired the three shots. They should've all been head or chest shots.
When Lincoln, Abruzzi and C-Note first leave the forest to chase the train we see a shot (from under the train) that shows Michael and Sucre emerging from the forest and run immediately to their right. The next scene shows Lincoln slowly leaving the forest and telling Abruzzi and C-Note to 'get to the other side'. We then see Michael and Sucre running out of the forest and to the right exactly as we have already seen.
When Bellick tries to gun down Michael on the train, the camera angle changes and they show the back of Bellick's head. You can clearly see that it's someone else, not Bellick.
Tombstone:
R.I.P
E. CHANCE WOODS
APR 1, 1938
DEC 9, 1994
When Captain Bellick questions the fisherman about the whereabouts of the prisoners, he mentions them stealing his vehicle. Bellick asks him if it was a 1986 Grand Cherokee. Jeep Grand Cherokees were not produced until 1993 and when an aerial shot of the car is shown, it is a Jeep Wagoneer.
Michael left clothing and other supplies buried in a grave. This explains why he was digging a grave in the episode Brother's Keeper.
After Sara notices the Origami bird, she opens it to find a secret message.
It reads:
THERE'S A PLAN TO MAKE ALL OF THIS RIGHT
... .. .. . .. .... ... ... .. ....
.... .. .. . ... . .. .. ... .
.. ... . ... ... . .. .
This can be grouped into lines of numbers. The numbers are 3221243324 for the first line, 4221312231 for the second, and 23133121 for the third.

Nurse: You have a visitor.
Sara: Thank you.
(Katie enters)
Katie: You look disappointed.
Sara: No, I thought you were gonna be my father.
Katie: You heard from him?
Sara: (Pausing and nodding her head only slightly) His office...
Dr Gudat: Oh, I'm sorry sir, it's a Saturday, we're not open.
T-Bag: Well that's sorta the point.
Dr Gudat: Sorry sir?
T-Bag: See, I'm gonna need some work done, and I'm uh, gonna need it done uh, privately.
Dr Gudat: I'm sorry; you said you needed the work done?
T-Bag: This is a medical clinic, isn't it?
Dr Gudat: Well of course, sir. But for (he lifts up the cage to show a cat sitting inside) animals.
Dr Gudat: My god sir, what happened to you? You need medical attention.
T-Bag: Oh, no.
Dr Gudat: I'm going to get an ambulance. (He reaches up for the phone as T-Bag rounds on him, pushing the screwdriver into the doctor's throat.)
T-Bag: Nobody's gonna be doing any calling here, doctor.
Dr Gudat: F-fine.
T-Bag: That's right.
Dr Gudat: W-what do you want?
Mahone: Mr. Bellick!
Bellick: Don't talk to me.
Mahone: Fine, but it's going to make collaboration kinda hard.
Bellick: Collaboration? I've got men out here in harms way and you're giving press conferences.
Mahone: The press is a tool. They'll bring those men back quicker than bloodhounds will.
Bellick: We don't need you. We're hot on these guys' trail and it's just a matter of time till we nail them.
Sucre: Ah, I thought I thought this out. I thought… you saw all those guys back there?
Michael: The key is they're back there, and we're up here.
Sucre: Yeah? And how long is that going to last?
C-Note: (Stretching) Yeah, especially since we don't have a pot to piss in thanks to Abruzzi's magically disappearing jet!
Abruzzi: You were never going to be on that plane, brother.
Mahone: I'd like to, uh, talk about John Wilkes Booth for a moment, if I could, Abraham Lincoln's killer. Twelve days. That's how long it took to find him. In his journal during this period he wrote that the shadow was his friend, the night his domain. He acknowledged that whatever neurosis drove the criminal to commit the original crime is compounded. Magnified by flight. By the sounds of dogs at his heels. Fear becomes paranoia, paranoia ultimately psychosis. I bring this up because in one hundred and forty years, the fundamental mind of the escaped man has not changed. The escaped man is still human, he is still afraid, and he will stop at nothing in his attempt at flight. Fortunately for us, while our quarry has shadow and night as his ally, we have something far greater. Television. I would encourage everyone who is watching, everyone in this country, to take a good look at these faces. (The mug shots of the escapees are pinned to a board beside him.) These men, right here, are now the eight most wanted men in America.
Sucre: This jacket ain't exactly the best thing, you know what I'm saying?
Michael: You want variety? Hit Target.
Abruzzi: My trousers are a little short, don't you think?
Lincoln: Chop your feet off. You're good at that.
Michael: Originally this was supposed to be a weeks worth of clothes for me and Linc. But, uh, I figured you all need just as much help as we do, so-
Abruzzi: You're just doing this out of the goodness of your heart, Fish?
Michael (Slapping clothes into Abruzzi's arms): That's right, John. The heart. You remember what that is, don't you?
Mahone: Oh, oh. Oh that kid is clever. It's not a place, it's a name.
Ives: Schweitzer was the plumbing company that made the toilet Scofield took off to get out of his cell. Allen bolt was the fitting.
(Mahone exhales, laughing shortly)
Mahone: It's all here, isn't it? It's amazing.
Veronica: What are you gonna do, Terrance? Shoot me? Blow my guts all over the house? Then what? You can't leave, remember? You kill me, you're stuck with me.
Steadman: I'm safe here.
Veronica: You're a prisoner here.
Steadman: But I'm still breathing. If I go outside, one step, I won't be. You look at me like I'm the devil. I gave up my family. My teeth. (Realisation dawns on Veronica's face) I eat Percocet all day just to dull the pain of my miserable existence. You have no idea what I've been through.
Veronica: What you've been through? (pulls out the cell phone again) This isn't about you, Terrance.
Steadman: Don't. (raises the gun again. Veronica raises her eyebrows and dials a number)
Receiver: Blackfoot Sheriff's Department. Hello? Blackfoot Sheriff Department.
Veronica: Hello, my name's Veronica Donovan; I need you to send a unit to the house at the end of Light Road as soon as possible.
Receiver: Sorry ma'am, are you calling to report a crime?
Veronica: Yeah. (looks hard at Steadman) By the President of the United States. Send the car.
Sara: I'm in a lot of trouble, I think.
Katie: I, I need to apologize to you. They threatened my job if I didn't talk, and-
Sara: No, no, no, no. No. One thing you learn when you're walking the steps, is that you never outsource a blame that belongs in your own backyard.
Katie: Well, you're not the first correctional worker that fell for a con. Trust me.
Steadman: You won't get cell coverage. We're in the middle of nowhere. Digital carriers don't have cell towers way out here in western Montana. Veronica: How about shutting up, Terrence? Steadman: Just trying to save you some effort. They're like a web these people, the harder you struggle the worse it gets. Veronica: Sounds to me like a coward trying to justify himself.
Foley: You're being considered as an accessory to this, you know that, don't you?
Sara: I know very little right now.
Foley: You opened the door to the infirmary that allowed Scofield to escape, didn't you?
Sara: No.
Foley: Did you have a sexual relationship with Scofield?
Sara: No.
Foley: But you had feelings for him. (Sara doesn't reply) Seven other men got out, you know.
Sara (Looking up): Who?
Veronica: You don't care that somebody's going to be executed for your murder while you're just sitting here.
Steadman: I'm not the one who chose Lincoln Burrows as the fall guy.
Veronica: Who did? Your sister, the President?
Steadman: You don't understand, I'm a prisoner to all of this.
Steadman: I'm not armed.
Veronica: You'll have to excuse me if I'm a little short on trust at the moment.
Steadman: I assure you, young woman, I'm the furtherest thing from a threat. I think the Percocet pretty much insures that.
Veronica (Drawing out a camera): Good, then you won't mind if I capture this moment for posterity. (takes a shot)
Steadman: It won't do you any good.
C-Note: Why don't you cut out the riddles, Snowflake, and just give it to us straight.
Dr. Gudat: I'm sorry, sir, I.. I don't think I can do this. There are nerves. Look, you need a specialist.
T-Bag (talking over Gudat): I don't.
Dr. Gudat: You... you need somebody who knows what they are doing!
T-Bag: I don't have the luxury of choice here. Doctor, my hand has been in that box for hours now, it is dying.
Dr. Gudat: Sir, I am not capable of doing this.
T-Bag: I only have one hand but I can stick this in your neck before you get to that door. Now if that's not incentive enough for you I see that you have a "Mrs. Gudat" out there, with a name like that in a county like this... old "Mrs. Gudat" would not be too hard to find now, would she?
Dr. Gudat: Fine, I can promise you nothing.
T-Bag (Whispers): Story of my life.
Dr. Gudat: I'll have to put you under.
(T-Bag grabs Gudat's arm)
T-Bag: Do I really look that stupid?
Dr. Gudat: Sir, I cannot do a procedure like this without an anesthetic. I have to cut away dead flesh. Nobody can undergo a procedure like this without an anesthetic.
T-Bag: I ain't nobody.
Mahone (in Scofield's apartment): So this is where Scofield lived?
Ives: Yeah, up until about two months ago when he was incarcerated.
Mahone: Mother's dead...father's a dead beat. Got nothing in the whole world but your brother. So you plan. And you scheme for months until you get it right. Every single element and then you destroy all the evidence.
(Walks over to the window and looks down) I want divers down in the river.
Terrence: Self preservation is a strong motivator...
Veronica: So is the truth!
Lincoln (looking at his fake passport): "Archie Ryan"?
Michael: You see mine? "Phineas McClintock". (both laugh)
(Lincoln pulls out a set of keys)
Lincoln: Wow, and these?
Michael: Keys to a car that's waiting for us... couple hundred yards from here.
Lincoln: That a 2 of us or 5 of us?
Michael: That's a 2 us.
Veronica (before being shot; her last words): Oh my god.
Mahone: Scofield had the entire thing on his body. How to get out of that prison, how to disappear afterward. It's all there. I promise you that it's only a matter of time before we know everything that is in Scofield's head. Where he plans to run to, how he plans to get there. So when the time comes that he does get there, we'll be waiting for him.
Sara (about Michael): He never cared. Not one bit.
Sucre: What are you thinking about?
Michael (sighs): Mistakes.
Sucre: You had to do it.
Michael: Not like I did. I ruined her life.
Sucre: Well there's nothing you can do about it now.
Michal: That's not true.
Sucre: You fell for her, huh?
C-Note: We need to go east, my family's back in Chicago!
Abruzzi: Think the cops don't know about it? You think they're not just sitting there waiting for you to come running back home? What's the matter with you?
Sucre: What about New York?
Abruzzi: What about it?
Sucre: My girl's pregnant, bro!
Abruzzi: Understand your love is your weakness right now, and they know about it.
Michael: Doesn't mean it has to stop you. Just gotta be smart about it.
Mahone: Scofield designed the tattoo, not you?
Tattoo artist: He brought the entire thing in, every element. I mean, look at it, it's the friggin' Sistine Chapel.
Lincoln: We got half the country after us. We're not making it to Panama, or Utah, without help.
Michael: Veronica can't help us.
Lincoln: Look, you say that…you're gonna need money, clothes –
Michael: I already got all that.
Lincoln: I thought the plan was Abruzzi's jet.
Michael: The jet was plan A.
Lincoln: Then we've got –
Michael: Everything we need.
Lincoln: Where?
Michael: Storage.
Lincoln: You really think the money is gonna be there?
Michael: Charles might have had a flexible relationship with the truth, but at the end...at the end there'd be no reason for him to lie about it.
Mahone: The problem I have with being on a trail, is that by definition, you'll always be behind the prey.
Bellick: We'll see about that.
Mahone (looking at pictures of Michael's tattoo): Structural engineer, huh?
Ives: Not the kind you'd expect to get that much ink.
Mahone: Not the kind at all.
Mahone: Maybe you can tell me about Dr. Tancredi.
Pope: There's nothing to tell.
Mahone: From what I'm hearin', she may have abided the escapees. Opened the door that allowed them to get out.
Pope: Like I said, there's nothing to tell.
Mahone: Not being very transparent, warden.
Pope: Look, I don't discuss my staff.
Mahone: Maybe you should. Because she may be the key to this thing.
C-Note: Don't think I don't know where you were going either, Scofield. Michael: Where am I going? C-Note: Oh, I don't know, Utah? When were you plannin' on tellin' us about the money man? Sucre: What money? C-Note: Five million dollars that Westmoreland planted in the desert in Utah. Michael: You don't know what you're talking about. C-Note: You wish I didn't know. Sucre: Wait, wait. What money?
Mahone: Scofield, he and Burrows are brothers.
Wheeler: That's right.
Mahone: And he's the mastermind of this whole thing.
Wheeler: That's what they're saying.
Mahone: I want everything they've got on him.
Terrence: No, I really am a prisoner. And now you are, too. The moment you let the door shut behind you.
(Veronica looks up, alarmed and walks to the door. Terrence stands and watches her)
Terrence: Didn't it strike you as curious that there wasn't any security out there? The doors only open from the outside. The glass is two inches thick, bulletproof. (pauses) There's no getting out of here young woman.
T-Bag (to man in tent): If you call the cops I will put this right here [hold up knife] through your eye. (steals baseball cap) Thank you.
Ives: It's not like they left us a map where they're going.
Mahone: Actually, that's exactly what they did.
Mahone (referring to Michael's tattoos): How long do you think it would take to get something like this?
Ives: 100 hours maybe. 200
Mahone: The escapees. Who were they?
Wheeler: I've got the list right here.
Mahone: Read it to me, if you could.
Wheeler: Michael Scofield, structural engineer, five years for armed robbery.
Benjamin Miles Franklin, former U.S Army, eight years for possession of stolen goods. John Abruzzi, Don of the crime family of the same name, life without parole for conspiracy to commit murder. Charles "Haywire" Patoshik, sixty years for second degree murder. Fernando Sucre, five years for aggravated robbery. David "Tweener" Apolskis, five years for grand larceny. Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell, life for six counts of kidnapping, rape and first degree murder. And Lincoln Burrows, scheduled to die next week for the murder of President Reynold's Brother.
Michael: We can stop being cons and start being civilians.
Bellick (running to get onto the train): Freeze! I will gun you down, Scofield!
(Fires the shotgun, but it hits the train instead of Michael)
Marshall Allman and Paul Adelstein are both credited, but neither appear in this episode.
International air date
Greece: Thursday 3rd July 2008 at 23.00 on ANT1
William Fichtner was added to the main credits.
This episode marks the first appearances by Laura Wade, Stephen Chester Prince, Jason Davis and William Fichtner.
In this episode's opening theme, Prison Break newcomer William Fichtner (FBI Special Agent Alexander Mahone) is credited as Bill Fichtner.
Starting in this episode, President Reynolds' brother, Terrence Steadman, is played by Jeff Perry. The producers had to re-cast the role because the previous actor, John Billingsley, left the show to star in the new ABC series The Nine.
When going to commercials, instead of showing a path through the prison, a path through the streets and woods is now shown.
This marks the first episode shot in Dallas, Texas.
