  • good, but unrealistic.

    7.5
I liked the episode and thought it was intense enough. I just thought it was rather unrealistic. Okay, so they scramble jets to shoot down the plane, that's great, but jumping out of it with a parachute and still making it safely when jets are shooting you down is unlikely.

Allowing America's two most wanted criminals to easily escape custody is rather silly. Obviously the other guards would have known something was up even with one of them was "on the take". Surely IA would investigate thoroughly something like this.

Finally Bellack getting set up for murdering his friend...okay but WTF? How is he all of the sudden going back to Fox River? No trials, no lawyers? And he WANTED to go back there thinking he'd get "special treatment"? Umm, no...a murder trial takes a few months, it doesn't instantly happen in a day or two; obviously he wouldn't plead guilty given that he was innocent! And thinking that it's a good idea to be incarcerated at the place you worked as a correctional officer...very unrealistic.

I love the show but the glaring realism errors do bug me enough to detract from the experience.moreless
  • The main plot is predictable, so the ending don´t have the expected effect, but this episode managed to be good, with some setups for the second half of the season.

    7.2
Details/Progress (To point A to B) -» (9/10). Michael and Lincoln are in Jail, but Mahone and Kellerman are waiting for a opportunity to kill them, here we move from point A (in Jail), to Point B (facing Mahone and Kellerman). Bellick and T-bag scenes was about filling details that was necessary

Plot Details/Holes- » (5/10). The cops appeared form nowhere. How Sucre teleported to Mexico without being shoot down is another Miracle from the writers staff. Nobody in a bar can recognize or suspect who is T-bag, Drama - » (7/10). The usual. Poor Bellick.

Suspense/Tension - » (8/10).The last scenes could be more suspenseful if you couldn´t predict the result. Surprises/Shocks - » (6/10). The appearance of the main villain is not enough. T-bag real intention was nice.

Time and Scene Management - » (7/10). The main plot managed to buy time for the producers, T-bag scenes was well done, and Bellick also share the same luck, Sara scenes was essential.

Beginning - » (9/10). Sucre, Michael and Lincoln Problems are solved in the presentation phase, but now they are in the same position they were in season 1.

Complication Phase - » (8/10). Michael and Lincoln are in Jail and will be transferred to Fox River, but Mahone and Kellerman had other plans.

Climax - » (6/10). If you couldn´t predict the result, this could be interesting.

Ending - » (7/10). The arguments was good.

What I liked -» Bellick in Fox River. T-bag scenes leaded to somewhere.

What I Didn´t Liked -» The episode main plot was predictable.

The main plot is predictable, so the ending don´t have the expected effect, but this episode managed to be good, with some setups for the second half of the season.moreless
  • Awesome.

    10
T-Bag continues his search for Susan. Bellick returns to Fox River as an inmate, while Michael and Lincoln are also to be sent back after being arrested. Sucre is forced to parachute off his getaway plane as Kellerman hatches a plan. Another awesome episode from Prison Break. This show is just amazing to be honest! I loved it when Bellick went back to Fox River as am inmate. Bellick is awesome in this show. But oh my god...What a cliffhanger it was just awesome! I mean Kellerman was just awesome! I can't wait to see more, this episode was just wow, I mean it best episode so far! I'm giving it 10 out of 10!moreless
  • Didn't see that coming!

    9.8
If I could only say one thing about this show it would be when you think you have it figured out you get blindsided. In this episode Michael and Lincoln are apprehended by Border Patrol and Mahoney. Kellerman convinces Kim to give him another shot at killing the brothers and Kim agrees. Kellerman and Mahoney set up a way for the brothers to escape from custody so they can kill them. Mahoney and Kellerman trap the brothers and just when you think this could be it Kellerman pops Mahoney. I did not see that coming at all. Kellerman tells the brother that the president has ruined his life and the brothers and if they want to do something about now is the time to follow him. Meanwhile T-Bag catches up with the woman who puts him in prison, Bellick is sentenced and sent to Fox River and Sara is changing her appearance to stay of ahead of the people who want her dead. Wow, what an episode. This show has become one of my all time top 5 shows. It just keeps getting better and better.moreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (4)

    • When Mahone said to Kellerman that Michael and Lincoln are heading to the surface he takes his gun and enters the underground tunnel, but one moment later we see him re-entering the tunnel.

    • Bellick is 40 years old.

    • This episode marks the first time the series' protagonist, Michael Scofield, and its primary villain, Paul Kellerman, have appeared in a scene together, aside from a brief glimpse in a car in "English, Fitz or Percy".

    • Goof: The shot of Bellick in his cell which zooms out and shows the other inmates in the cells around his is the exact same shot used in the Pilot episode. The only difference is Bellick's cell has been put over Michael's cell. If you look closely, the other inmates are the same ones in the same position as the scene used in the Pilot.

  • QUOTES (34)

    • Michael: If we go back to prison we'll have a few extra days. We'll have a chance to contact Sara.
Lincoln: We don't know where Sara is. Sara may be dead, Michael.

    • Reporter: I am here with Ed Pavelka, the new warden of Fox River penitentiary where Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield are scheduled to be returned to sometime tomorrow. Now warden, the escape happened a mere two days before Burrows was scheduled to be put to death. He's already been granted one day. Do you anticipate any further delays?
Warden Pavelka: Lincoln Burrows is a convicted murderer. His escape has endangered the lives of civilians across this country. He is not a celebrity, he is not a martyr. I can assure you that whatever leniency was afforded him and the other prisoners under the old regime at Fox River, will no longer be tolerated. The only thing that Mr. Burrows can expect is what a jury of his peers demanded: a speedy execution.
      Reporter: And Michael Scofield?
Warden Pavelka: With his escape, the aiding and abetting charges, the felonies he's racked up along the way, on top of his original sentence, I'd say Mr. Scofield will be spending the rest of his life behind bars. Thank you.

    • Mahone: These are my prisoners and I will be personally escorting them in their transfer vehicle.
Border Patrol Agent: You can follow in the chase car...
Mahone: I don't believe you heard me. I'll be accompanying them in their...
Border Patrol Agent: The only people allowed in the van are the driver and two guards who've been trained and certified in prisoner transport.
Mahone: Are you really going to make me go over your head?
Border Patrol Agent: I'll even dial the phone for you.

    • Kim: I saw you on the news, Alex, the brothers too. They're a little more, um, breathing than I had hoped.

    • Kellerman: When those brothers get in the van, it'll be the last thing they ever do.

    • Lincoln: It seems like I've been getting you in trouble my whole life.
Michael: You pulled me out of some too.

    • Lincoln: Where to?
Michael: I don't know. Look. If something happens to us, if we got separated or one of us doesn't make it, promise me that you'll find Sara.
      Lincoln: We're gonna make it.
      Michael: Just promise me.
      Lincoln: I promise. Come on.

    • Nagel: The DA is willing to offer a deal. Twenty-five years.
      Bellick: No.
Nagel: Brad, they'd drop the capital charge. No death penalty.
Bellick: No! I'd be almost 65 when I get out.
Nagel: But you'd get out. If this case goes to trial, there's an excellent chance that you're sentenced to death. I've been doing this a while, Brad, and I can tell you, these things never go down good. When the system wants you, they get you, one way or another.
Bellick: Part of the deal is gotta be, I do my time in Illinois, so I can be near my mom.

    • Kim: Good news, you're off the hook. Paul Kellerman has a team ready to move on the caravan just outside of Albuquerque.
Mahone: Okay, so where does that leave us?
Kim: When it goes down, there's sure to be a moment or two of chaos. A certain amount of confusion. Lots of bullets flying. I need you there to make sure Paul Kellerman catches one.

    • Kellerman: If you want the rabbit to hop, you move the carrot, Alex.

    • Denise: I have never done that before.
T-Bag: Then I guess we were making up for some lost time.
Denise: I have to ask, Sam, are you, uh... are you married or something?
T-Bag: Me? No. What makes you think...
Denise: Come on. I may be plain, but I'm not a fool. Usually the men I end up with are just looking for something, you know...on the side.
T-Bag: Denise, the only "side" I'm interested in, is the inside. And that place within you...is not plain.
Denise: I have to get back to work.
      T-Bag: Do you really?
Denise: I have to close tonight.
T-Bag: How 'bout I pick you up after? We can have dinner.
      Denise: Are you sure?
      T-Bag: Denise...I insist.

    • Lincoln: Who would that be?
      Michael: Only one person.
(Sara calls Michael's cell phone and leaves a message)
Sara: Michael, it's me. Listen, this phone rang last night and I went to answer it, but I couldn't hear anything and I wonder if maybe it was you? Oh, God, I don't know what I should do right now. I don't know if I should leave a message or who might be listening to this, but... um, I, uh...I need to know that you're okay. I need you to know that I'm not. I didn't leave you in Gila. Something happened to me and I don't...um, I don't know what to do right now. I'm not too sure where to go, but I know that you're the only person I can trust and I need you to, um...I need you to be okay and, um...and I need you...Please.

    • T-Bag: You got a little something on your, uh...
(T-Bag indicates a small piece of food on Denise's cheek, but she passes her hand on her chin)
      T-Bag: No, I...here, let me.
      (T-Bag cleans Denise's cheek with a napkin)
T-Bag: Pardon my forwardness, I was...
      Denise: It's okay. Thank you.
T-Bag: Normally I wouldn't intervene, it's just...Yesterday when I got home from work I found what looked like the Brazilian rain forest lodged between my two front teeth. And all I could think about was the number of people who must've seen and not...not a damn one of them had the decency to tell me.
      Denise: Mild diastema.
      T-Bag: Excuse me?
Denise: It's a slight gap between your eight and nine. Your two front teeth.
And that it sometimes can act as a magnet for food like broccoli and tuna and sometimes rice. Or relish.
T-Bag: All this and brains, too? What are you, a dentist or...
Denise: Me? No, hardly, no. I could never. My ex, my ex-husband, he was...
      T-Bag: A bastard?
      Denise: That too.
T-Bag: Have you ever been to Italy, uh...
      Denise: Denise.
T-Bag: Denise, that's a lovely name. You know, in Italy, they have wine every day with lunch. And what do we do in this country? We power our food down with caffeine, carbonation and high fructose corn syrup. No one ever takes the time to enjoy things anymore. Denise, would you do me the honor of "enjoying" the rest of your lunch with me?
Denise: I think I'd like that.
      T-Bag: White or red?

    • Lincoln: Let me get us outta here the only way I know how.
      Michael: Fighting?
      Lincoln: Yeah.
      (Pause)
      Michael: Get the keys.

    • Avocado (to Bellick): Welcome home... Boss.

    • (After Denise recognizes T-bag from the wanted poster)
T-Bag: I really wish you hadn't seen that.

    • Denise: I'd imagine your cousin'll be pretty surprised to hear about the money her uncle left her.
T-Bag (smiling): You can be certain of it.

    • Michael: Let's think about this. The keys are accidentally left out, the door is accidentally left open.
      Lincoln: It's our only shot.
Michael: It's their only shot. They don't have an excuse to kill us unless we give it to them.

    • (On the phone to each other about killing Michael and Lincoln)
Kellerman: Listen, me jumping in at this point, it in no way reflects my feelings about the job you've been doing. I just wanted you to know that.
Mahone: Of course. So long as we get the job done.
Kellerman: We all get to go back to our families, right?
      Mahone: The sooner the better.

    • (On the phone to each other)
Kim: We're giving you a chance to make this right, Alex. Just let Kellerman take care of it, let him be our Oswald.
Mahone: And that makes me your Jack Ruby.
Kim: Jack Ruby was working alone. You've got the support of the United States Government behind you, Alex. Good luck in Albuquerque.

    • (On the phone with each other)
Kim: Pull this off and you're half way home, Alex. You remember what home is like, don't you? 90 West End Avenue, white fence, red door.
Mahone (aggressively): Stay away from my family!

    • (Kim is ordering Mahone to kill Michael and Lincoln)
Kim: How much longer do you think it'll be before someone puts a microphone in front of them?
Mahone: Hey, are you listening? Okay, with the security here, what you're asking me to do is tantamount to suicide. Do you understand what I'm saying?
Kim: I wasn't asking anything. That would imply you had a say in the matter.

    • (On the phone to each other)
Kim: Burrows and Scofield. Can you see them from where you are?
      Mahone: Yeah.
Kim: Then put a bullet in their heads.
      Mahone: They're being watched.
      Kim: I don't care.
      Mahone: By armed guards.

    • Michael: You know we have no idea what's behind that door.
      Lincoln: Nope. (pause) You ready?
      Michael: No. You?
      Lincoln: No.
      Michael: Let's go.

    • Michael: Linc! (shows Lincoln the keys laying on the seat) Let's say we get the cuffs off, where do we go?
Lincoln (points at a nearby door): There.
      Michael: That's too easy.

    • Kim: It's going to take more than one guy on the inside.
Kellerman: Not if the guy is in the right place.

    • Kellerman: Bad day, Bill?
Kim: Sorry, I thought it was someone who still existed. How's the jerky business, Owen?
Kellerman: It's looking pretty good right now.
Kim: If you call this number again you are a dead man.
Kellerman: Actually if you don't kill Burrows and Scofield today so are you. You know it, I know it. Luckily for you, I know how to save your ass.

    • Lincoln: Do you ever regret it?
      Michael: What?
Lincoln: Knowing what you know now, do you regret helping me?
Michael: You would have done the same thing for me.
      Lincoln: You think?
      Michael: I know.
Lincoln: You didn't answer the question.
Michael: I don't regret the act. Just how it turned out.

    • Lincoln: At least we're together.
      Michael: Yes, there is that.

    • (Before they jump out of the plane)
      Plane Pilot: Uh oh!
Sucre: Uh oh? What do you mean uh oh?

    • Plane Pilot: We're in the middle of the desert. Border patrol is going to have a hard time finding us once we land.
      Sucre: If we land.
Plane Pilot: Oh, we're going to land. It's just a matter of how hard.

    • Kellerman: President Reynolds ruined your life? She ruined my life. You want to take the bitch down? You just found your inside man, but it's gotta be right now. (starts running, then looks back) Let's go!

    • T-Bag (to Susan): Hello, Mrs. Hollander. They say a good woman is hard to find. Well, if that's true, you must be very, very, very good. Don't be frightened, Teddy's home.

    • Mahone: Almost made it. (looks down at phone) Get up! (Michael gets up) Turn around! Turn around!
Michael: If you're going to murder us Alex you're going to have to look us in the eye while you do it.
      Mahone: Shut up!
Lincoln: You want me you got me! Let my brother go!
Mahone: I don't want either of you. I just want my life back!
Michael: And you're going to kill two innocent men to get it?
      Mahone: Absolutely.
