Episode Summary

EDIT
Episode 247
AIRED:
Jim and Meg escape just as the rioting women take control of the prison but Steve and Janet are trapped inside. The inmates bicker amongst themselves - Marie stirs everyone up, Margo mouths off and Sandy tries to keep control of the situation. Outside the jail, Erica won't allow the police to storm the building, to Jim's disgust. Steve manages to get to a phone and tell the police they are still inside but he ends up having to hide up in the roof from the prisoners. The women give Erica their list of demands. In hospital, Bea hears of the riot on TV and phones the prison to speak to Erica, but Ted Douglas won't let her. The marauding women finally track down Steve, separated from Janet, in the Governor's office. On Sandy's orders, they pin him to Erica's desk and start to strip him.moreless

  • Sandy and Maree rule the roost at Wentworth...

    9.0
The new year's episode show what happens with the riot. Sandy is in charge but Maree seems to watching from the sidelines. Maree is a great character - tough, violent, manipulative, smart and selfish. Margo is also involved - adding an explosive element to the mix. Outside, we have Erica and Meg doing all possible to reduce bloodshed while Jim and Colleen want to take back control by force. Even though Colleen is still in bitch-mode, her actions make a little more sense in this episode. Another surprise is that Bea, Lizzie, Doreen and Judy - all previous main characters have very little to do (or none at all) in this storyline. Then we have a scene which still shocks today - the women catch Steve and strip him - with plans to have fun with him later.moreless
  • The riot continues...

    8.0
The riot continues as Meg and Jim just about escape leaving the new recruits Steve and Janet inside, and Jim is less than pleases as Erica wants to diffuse the situation as peacefully as possible, without the police. Meanwhile, from her hospital bed, Bea tries to communicate with Erica about it, but Ted Douglas tells her to back off. Janet and Steve are separated on the inside, and Steve is pinned to the governors desk and stripped, moments after he manages to call the outside world. This episode was quite fast paced like the previous, and poor Steve must've been terrified to be stripped by so many women...moreless
