Episode 361
AIRED:
Erica has "resigned" (ie the Department sacked her) after Nola's protest. Colleen is appointed Acting Governor, with Meg as Deputy. Douglas hints to Joan that he wants her to get the Governor's job. Bea arrives back and insists the women can look after themselves from now on. However, when Lizzie tells her about the fake minister, she agrees to help bring him down. They hold a bible study group, where his ignorance of the Bible is revealed; he is quickly identified as a fake and arrested. Nola tries to persuade the women that Bea stole her money before her escape. With Lizzie and some heavies in tow, Nola confronts Bea rifling through her hiding place in the Library. Meanwhile, Judy's latest hopeless case is a particularly drippy shoplifter called Denise Tyler, who she lends a helping hand to.moreless

  • Erica has 'resigned' by force.

As news of Erica's 'resignation' spreads around the prison, all are shocked, and Colleen takes over as acting Governor, with Meg as her deputy, although Ted Douglas hints he wanted Joan to be her deputy. Ted also implies to Meg that he fired Erica, rather than asked her to resign. Nola's supplier, the fake priest is foiled into giving a sermon which he fails abysmally, as Bea is returned to Wentworth, where she simply says she is not interested in returning to her top dog post, and Nola and her heavies later finds Bea looking in her hiding place.moreless

    • Erica gets the worst exit of any major character ever, without so much as a farewell scene of any sort. Just a disgrace considering how long she's been in the show. Some other departures were let-downs (ahem BEA ahem) but this is dreadful.

Good Points: the scene with Bea and Lizzie humiliating the fake minister is a scream ("that's good, cos Paul wasn't even an apostle!") and we even get Inspector Grace popping in for what's nothing more than a cameo. Bad Points: Denise Tyler. Nuff said.
