  • Dell gets to do a bit more than uisual and Cooper tries to save a boy with measles and protect the boy's brother.

This was a nice episode of Private Practice with the main medical story revolving around a boy with measles and his mother refusing to immunise the boy's brother because she feared it would cause autism like in her eldest child. This is a very real issue for many parents and was very sensitively done. Is the vaccination more risky than the disease? At the same time Addison was clashing swords with Wyatt again overe an ovarian tissue implant which went wrong and she had to act quickly and decisively to save the patient. Dell had more to do this week in a subplot about his daughter. All in all, not a bad episode but probably didn't set the world on fire.moreless

  • Pretty much an average episode.

Not much can be said about the second season of Private Practice that hasn't already been talked about. New characters have been brought in and the ratings are down. It's got a good timeslot now post-Grey's Anatomy so it has no excuses. So why is nobody talking about Double P?

Quite simply because there is no reason to care about these characters. Private Practice has some talented actors but I just do not care about their problems at all. Grey's Anatomy would have made the mother's son's death into a big deal but I felt no emotion when it happened. Cooper accidentally revealing that Pete and Violet are sleeping together should have been a hilarious ordeal, but it wasn't. The show has just lost that magic it had during the first season. On a side note Dell's ex-girlfriend was pretty hot in this episode.moreless

    • Addison: Hey, do you think I missed the boat with Pete? Naomi: Ugh. You didn't miss a Pete boat. You dodged hurricane Pete. Addison: You really think it's gonna end that badly? Naomi: Are we talking about the same Pete? Edit
    • Addison: If you want to work with Wyatt again, work with Wyatt again. Don't not do it because of what I say. Naomi: You comfortable with that? Addison: I'm not comfortable thinking that my advice colors what you say or what you do. Hate him for yourself, or not. Edit
    • Wyatt: (to Addison) Apparently I'm a mysogynistic, manipulative son of a bitch. And ungrateful. You agreed to do something you didn't want to do and I should have been more gracious. Edit
