In this episode we learn that Addison comes from Conneticut.
Music featured in this episode: Mas Que Nada by Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 - The song plays at the beginning of the episode. Pete joins Addison in the elevator. They have an intense conversation. Little Black Sandals by Sia - The song plays as Violet meets with Allan near the beach. She returns to the office and discusses her feelings with Sam. Addison tells Maya and Naomi the results of the surgery. She recommends that Naomi has a talk with Maya about sex. Look What You've Done To Me by Sheila Skipworth - The song plays at the end of the episode as Addison checks out Pete's hand. She rushes home and finds the showerhead.
When one of the women says that she doesn't want Dell to examine her because he is about 5 years old he replies that Beethoven wrote his first symphony when he was 5 years old. Beethoven didn't do this, maybe he meant Mozart, who was a child prodigy. He only said it to prove that age doesn't matter and it actually did the trick.
*** Spoiler Alert*** It seems odd that when Addison was giving Maya a test for STD's she didn't notice that Maya was still a virgin. True enough, though Maya could well have done Horse riding or any other physical sport well known to cause the hymen to not be intact.
Pete: I barely notice your incredible breasts or your cellulite-free thighs because your brain is such an immense turn-on to a man as highly evolved as I am.
(Addison has been dreaming about Pete. During the Oceanside daily meeting, as Pete discusses one of his patients, Naomi glances at Addison, who becomes slightly flustered) Pete (to Addison): Why do you look so...? You look hot. (Sam, Violet and Dell look surprised) Addison: I... do I? (Addison laughs uncomfortably, but looks pleased) Pete: No, I mean, you look hot as in... flushed. Overheated. (The pleased look disappears from Addison's face as the rest of the staff look on, embarrassed. Naomi quickly continues the meeting as Addison composes herself by taking a drink from her mug)
(Naomi calls Violet to help Addison with the Pete fantasies) Violet: William Jefferson Clinton. Addison: Huh? Violet: It's 2010, Bill and Hillary have grown apart, it's nothing he did, just...it happens. We inexplicably run into each other a the Lincoln Memorial, and it's very late at night. Addison: Oh, My God. Violet: He recognizes something in me, something that makes him feel whole. Some talk about the camp David Summit, some chat about how we can't possibly, the Secret Service is... The next thing you know, I have a Presidential Library in Little Rock and there's a legendary picture of me and Bill laughing and sharing sections Of "The Times" while our child plays under the dinner table... And... Orgasm. Naomi: You're really over Allan, aren't you? Violet: Oh, I got Bill now. Bill's all I need.
Addison: Come here, let me see. Don't be scared. I'm a board Certified... Pete: ... Neonatal Surgeon. And that helps me how? (She holds his hand and takes the bandages) Addison: You hit someone? Pete: I know. It's stupid, incredibly... but this guy, he was a... he deserved... Addison: No it's not that, it's just... you hit someone, with your fist, like a cowboy, like a... gladiator! Pete: Yeah, yeah, like a gladiator. (They come real close, then she stops, laughs, picks the bag and walks through the door) Pete: We're not... Addison: I am leaving, I'm heading out. Pete: What just happened? Addison: Pete, the cowboy. Pete, the gladiator. Thank you for that. It'll help. Pete: Help for what? Addison: Just this itch I've got. (And she leaves) Pete: Okay, she did not have to tell me that.
Violet: You guys are so not friends. You are like a corporation.
Sam: Pain is what forces us to grow.
The role of Allan that was played by D.W. Moffett in the pilot is now played by Brett Cullen.
