Addison deals Naomi's former patients, Zoe and Amelia, whose embryos were accidentally switched, a complication that may end up jeopardizing both fetuses. Violet struggles with whether or not she can face Katie in court and testify against her. Charlotte is determined to convince Addison, Sam and Cooper to let her join Oceanside Wellness Group.moreless
  • Will Violet move on now?

An interesting episode where Violet confronts Katie and what happened to her in the courtroom. I liked the emotion that Violet had when shouting at Katie, that was intense and painful to watch. She decides to tell the court that she believed Katie to be mentally ill on the night...a good storyline. The ending with her and Pete was interesting...will they get back together?

I find myself liking Charlotte but not Cooper...I'm looking forward to seeing her work at the practice. The storyline with the two mothers was fairly entertaining I suppose. I still don't want a Addison/Sam relationship but I guess there's no stopping that...moreless
  • Another good episode, does Private Practice have its act together?

    7.8
    "Good"
Another good episode of Private Practice tonight. The show progressed quickly, was acted decently and was just everything a medical drama should be. I used to balk at ABC's ads that dubbed the show "TV's most provocative medical drama" but the show is curving outs its own little niche on a crowded Thursday lineup. Sure, the writing is still a little too close to Grey's Anatomy (with that way all the women deliver their lines, I can't explain it, but just watch how Meredith, Lexie, Addison the characters on the two shows talk and you'll know what I mean) but some of the storylines like the switched babies Grey's just doesn't touch.

It may never be Grey's Anatomy or House, but Private Practice is one of the best dramas Thursdays at 10 PM. I can say that much.moreless
  • A fitting closure for many events...

    8.5
    "Great"
It's amazing how Private Practice has evolved into a really mature show capable of delivering some really powerful storylines. The biggest and the best performance this time came from Amy Brenneman. The whole conflict of emotions she faces during her testimony against Katie couldn't have been acted any better. The prison scene where she finally vents out her anger should easily get her into contention for next years Emmy's if she continues to deliver similar ones with consistency. In many ways this episode may mark the closure for the whole Violet's saga that has been gripping us since the last season. The animosity between Oceanside and Charlotte King also reached the point of closure after Sam finally gives his OK for her joining the practice. The final monologue she delivers before Cooper was another highlight of this episode.

All in all, this one was much better than what Grey's delivered in the last hour.moreless

    • Cooper: I'm sorry. I love you, Charlotte. Charlotte: I am too much woman for you. I have more money. I picked a specialty that makes you nervous. I bought your way into the practice. I'm strong and I'm comfortable with being strong and I like that I'm strong. And if that is too much woman for you; if that makes your junk feel tiny... I'm not gonna make myself smaller. I'm not gonna put myself in a box so that you feel like a big man. I am a big woman and you either get used to it you or get out. Cooper: I'll get used to it. I will. I'll get used to it. You're hot. Strong women are hot. It's hot.
