Not surprising, but still very good

This epi didn't surprise me, but it was still quite enjoyable. I really wasn't that upset about Dell dying. Honestly I would have been more upset if any other main character would have died. I really liked the Charlotte and Cooper got engaged! I think they are a great couple. But I still feel bad for poor Sheldon. He never gets the girl :o( Also, I was happy they didn't kill off Mya. That would have been horrible for Sam and Naomi. My one real gripe with the episode was the very end. I hate when characters stripe down like Addison did. I think it makes them look super sluttly. All in all a good episode & a great season!moreless

Season finale

After all of the criticism I have given the show, Private Practice was able to end its third season on a high note, but in viewership and in quality.

3.2 million in the 18-49 demographic tuned in to see a powerful episode that saw this group of doctors get pushed to the limit professionally and personally. While the one who would die was predictable (if you read TV sites) that does not mean this was not a huge loss for the program. Dell may not have been the most vocal individual on Private Practice, but he was part of what made this show good during its first season.

All three season finales for this show have been excellent. Now P Squared just needs to figure out how to improve the other 20 or so episodes a year.moreless

The best season so far

When Private Practice started, I just felt like it played second fiddle to Grey's Anatomy. But this year, I turned out to be wrong... and the spin off did way better than the original. It looks like PP finally found its pace. Most of the stories were all heartbreaking, the writers got rid of Dell (yay!), Addison and Sam almost got closer and Pete and Violet are done being stupid.

Charlotte probably delivered her best work this year and as a matter of fact Cooper just did better, too.

The season premiere was wonderful. With this very emotional finale, season 3 came to a full circle. I just can't wait for season 4. The first time I ever said that...moreless

An emotional finale.

A very emotional episode where we say goodbye to Dell and welcome new relationships. I think everyone was acting how they should - mixture of shock, confusion and sadness. But I liked how Violet tried to lighten the mood. That was a great scene with everybody in the waiting room laughing at the pictures.

How sad is it that Dell died? Not only is Betsy an orphan but he was such a nice guy. You could see that from everyone's reaction. He'll be missed. The Charlotte/Cooper proposal was sweet but I really liked when he said he'd take it back and do it again on a day that wasn't so horrible.

Sam working on the man who crashed into man was intense but luckily Sam didn't do something he would regret. I liked how Dell's death gave everyone a new perspective. Violet and Pete reconnected. Sam and Addison finally got together. It was a great end to the season. I don't know what they'll do in series 4 but I'm looking forward to it.moreless

I have never cried at any show before this...

Dell, being my favorite character, broke my heart. I had to stop watching several times and couldn't stop crying. Poor Betsy, an orphan and so young! If someone had to go it should have been Maya or her baby; not Dell. I could not believe it! Private Practice started out as a spin off but has taken Greys Anatomy by storm!!! Everyone acted brilliantly, apart from the character, Sam. He's losing his 'mojo' and im fed up with his drama quite frankly. it would not be a loss to the show if he left. Im going to go and watch an episode before Dell dies to cheer me up. So sad, and it's not as if Dell had a great life anyway :( Byebyemoreless
