  • not really a review, but

to the above poster: charlotte's ex-drug addiction has been hinted at as early on as s1 - remember when she came in because of insomnia and pete had to help her? she refused pills/medication very staunchly.
  • okay, i wasn't holding this episode up to the extremely high bar the episode before it set, KaDee Strickland was amazing and is becoming the breakout star, but I still have issues.moreless

Violet, of course. The resident victim and the complete opposite of who Charlotte EVER wants to be in any aspect of her life. I loved Charlotte taking her down in the beginning throwing 'that thing that happened to her' back in her face and calling her damaged goods. Right on Charlotte. And clearly Violet's speech at the end, while brave of her to do and clearly with all the right intentions, drove Charlotte to drink. I like the Amelia/Charlotte friendship that's evolving. Amelia's a straight shooter and won't pity Charlotte which is exactly what she wants. And maybe this will force Amelia to grow up. I'm kind of annoyed that i feel Charlotte's drug addiction was a last minute add last week (I don't remember it ever being mentioned and I can't find it online) You can't just throw that in, especially if every other character already knows about it. It makes the viewer feel out of the loop. Sure it's adding drama but its cheap if its not previously developed.

I loved Addison last week and now I'm pissed at her. Doesn't doctor/patient confidentiality mean anything? It seems that she let it out more because her career could be in danger than she wanted to help Charlotte. Like I said, KaDee Strickland is now the best part of this show. Charlotte's anger and fear are palpable. Bravo. I won't comment on the patient storylines because they were as ridiculous as they usually are. I'm only sticking around for Charlotte.moreless
