BEGINNINGS OF SAD
Plus: Dan Harmon might do Community's Season 4 DVD commentary, Dominic West is headed to Showtime, and Starz orders Ronald D. Moore's latest.
THE END OF THE RUNWAY
Like Michael Costello, getting to the end of Project Runway All-Stars is all I’ve ever wanted, and I’m so close. And so are you! We have just one recap to go, and all will be revealed.
RIP AUSTIN'S PEDOSTACHE
Not a hell of a lot of important happened this week, save for the fact that Mondo said he he had a “man crush” on Isaac Mizrahi.
We'll, we're down to four, and in the last pre-finals challenge (note: not pre-Fashion Week, because this is farm-league Runway All-Stars), we were faced with a snoozer of task.
This week's blacklight challenge yielded enough ravetastic designs, and even more glorious disasters, to make this one of our favorite episodes of the season.
DRESSES OF THE WORLD
"O! Say, Can You Sew" required each designer to choose a flag to base a dress on, and to vote on a resolution demanding that Bashar al-Assad relinquish power. (Mila was the sole holdout.)
This episode, in which the contestants were asked to design a costume for a production of Godspell, frankly left me a little cold.
CLASH OF THE TAUNTAUNS
This week’s task required the dresstestants to design a weekend getaway look for a specific season, in four separate, head-to-head challenges.
SEAN AVERY IS THE BEST
The show proposed an interesting new challenge this week: Approach someone on a New York street and haggle the clothes right off their back.
SCARLETT IS THE BEST
This week, the designers were asked to pick a gelato flavor and make a dress out of it in six hours, the Fastest Challenge in Project Runway History™.
WE MISS TIM
This week the designers were instructed to make fancy gowns for “high-society events,” like the opera, or a dog show, with none other than high-fashion superduo Badgley Mischka.
MAKING IT WORK
This seasons brings backs some familiar faces from seasons past, while waving auf wiedersehn to others: namely, our beloved judging panel.
THURSDAY, JANUARY 5
Plus: Grey's Anatomy remains intense and a group of Italian-Americans returns to a New Jersey beach community.
