The six remaining designers will be judged head-to-head, if they are in the top group or in the bottom group. In the L'Oreal challenge exotic birds will serve as their inspiration.

The seven remaining designers have to create looks inspired by the fashion of the seventies.

This time the designers have to create image-making looks for the members of the rock band The Sheepdogs.

For this challenge the designers will be working with men clientele and have to create looks for their wives or girl friends taking directions from the men.

The top ten designers are divided into two teams and will search for inspiration in the city with HP Video Cameras. They will have to create their own fabrics and design a cohesive collection as a team.

The designers are paired with students of Harlem School of the Arts. They have to create a piece of art, which also should inspire them for their next garment. Kenneth Cole is the guest judge.

Twelve designers are divided into four teams of three. To determine the team captain the designers have to run one tour on an indoor track. The top four runners will be the team captains.

The designers have to create an outfit for a very special customer, namely for Nina Garcia.

The five remaining designers must use the inspiration provided by the art and architecture of LA's Getty Center to determine which three competitors will go on to Fashion Week at Bryant Park.
