  • Slowly moving on.

Things were a bit different this time around. The models got to choose the designer they want to work with and they got to choose the fashion icon their designer had to restyle.

The challange of this episode looked promising, but as the episode went on it was a bit disappointing. Most of the contants did a pretty poor job.

Bradly's elimination was deserved (and about to happen for a few weeks now), although I thought that Robert being eliminated would be deserved too. Robert still gets the benifit of the doubt from the jury, but he really has to step up in the weeks to come.

With this episode we are slowly moving towards the final three. This season misses the great personalities of the two previous seasons. Maybe the creators say this is the most talanted group so far, they sure as hell aren't the most interresting.moreless
  • Each episode the designers must make an outfit for their model and some of the outfits are great and a few you hope nobody ever has to wear again.

The models selected a famous person by seeing a picture and the designer must make an updated outfit, which will show everyone how much they know about what the star would wear today. The designers have a budget for materials and went shopping, which is interesting to see what colors and material they purchased to design the outfit. I was amazed that Bradley had never heard of Cher and part of the entertainment of the show is how well or not well the outfit looks on the model. The judges select a winner, Michael and a loser who goes home, which Bradley had to go home for being clueless about Cher.moreless

They switched it up and had the models choose the designer they wanted to work with. (2 models went home since the designers worked in groups of three the week before.)

Challenge: modernize a look for a fashion icon. There are 10 to choose from and the models chose for the designers.

    Designer/Icon matchup

    Angela/Audrey Hepburn

    Michael/Pam Greer

    Robert/Jackie O.

    Jeffery/Madonna

    Kayne/Marilynn Monroe

    Uli/Diana Ross

    Laura/Katherine Hepburn

    Alison/Farrah Fawcett

    Vincent/Twiggy

    Bradley/Cher

Michael was the winner of the challenge even though he scraped his original design and ended up with a hot pink halter and hot pants.

Bradley didn't even know who Cher is and his outfit was a crazy iridescent silver half shirt with a plain white pant.

I thought Kayne had a beautiful dress, I couldn't think of a better match for him than Marilyn Monroe. Very figure hugging with a nude underneath with a black sheer fabric ontop and a very daring slit right up the middle.

I don't know about you but this season is lacking the standout personality and I'm not so into it. I miss Jay and Santino!

Kayne "you should be pretty and seen and not open your mouth" commenting on his model Amanda's incessant babbling.moreless
