Show Summary

Proof is an Irish drama produced by Subotica that aired on RTE in Ireland and on TV2 in Denmark during 2004 to 2005. The 60-minute episodes feature a storyline on Irish politics. It is set in Dublin where two journalists, Lynch and Brady, try to expose the bad guys - often without success. The drama's plot is slightly layered and complicated to an extent. However, comical themes along with intriguing ones make it very appealing to its audiences. Upon the release of the first two episodes, the series produces controversy when a Sunday Times TV critic remarks on the obliteration of the original script made by Tony Philpott. He comments that the original script is one of the grittiest and most convincing exposes to read about Irish politics, and that the content is remade into an astringent and mushy depiction instead. The series is developed for two seasons on separate directors - Ciaran Donnelly and Thaddeus O'Sullivan.
