  • Good but not great.

Lessie tells Gus and Shawn to go over the top to drive away the new detective.

Really boring, forced episode is what this one was. An uneven case, two really bad guest stars and it just felt thrown together at the last minute. When you only have a few episodes left in the history of the show you expect better than this.
  • Silly and over the top

It's a good thing this is Psych's last season because the writers have gone from classic crime-solving comedy to absurd childish antics. The series just doesn't have anything good left to offer. It's one stupid joke after another. I guess it appeals to the fans who like that sort of thing. But for fans like me that liked a little meat to go with the sweet, . something deep and meaningful learned from the story) this season has been an utter farce.

Brannigan is an insane Lassie clone and not the least bit entertaining. Sean is over the top crazy. Gus just goes along for the ride. The psychic consultants/suspects look like escapees from a mental institution.

This series is going out with a sizzling crash. The humor is stupid and juvenile making the characters we've come to love seem incredibly unlikable. In truth it started heading this way ever since they did away with the childhood flashbacks in previous seasons. I kinda hate to watch because it is so horrible it's painful.moreless
  • Fun but hard to follow

I thought this episode was one of the more fun ones of the final season... but it was confusing. I had a hard time following what was going on.

When I get it on DVD it will make more sense because I can rewatch a scene if I missed something.

They didn't half-ass this one - it was full... and round. Mira Sorvino joined the team as the new double gun-toting, craft loving, by-the-book head detective. I like that they are trying new things and pushing the limits as the series is coming to an end. It was pleasing to see Shawn in full effect with Gus graciously supporting him (even providing The Magic Head). In short, I enjoyed the episode; in long, I really liked how they named the turtle Beauregard.moreless
